I modified your original post super trooper. I hope you don't mind. Rosecrans is a southeastern Ohio team too - so I thought it would be right to add them in the discussion.

I also added a pole and made it a sticky.

Not a problem at all. Eastern has to be the favorite. Top ranked team, beat Catholic by double digits and also had very little trouble with Rosecrans during the year. Led by, most likely, the D4 player of the year Jenna Burdette. I look for Parker to have a bounce back game Thursday night. Would love to see Rosecrans win as well and make it a southeastern ohio final

Keep in mind Fort Loramie is the DEFEDNING CHAMPION and beat Berlin Highland by what, 15 or so points, last year in the final?

That's a pretty good team Trooper.

With that being said, I still think Eastern can take them. But I'm guessing its a coin-flip.

I also heard Hiland didn't come to play in the final. Did Loramie graduate anyone? I mean they are in the final 4 so I know they are good. I'm just saying Eastern, on paper, should be the favorite. They are probably an underdog from people up north

Turns out I still have last year's program. There were 3 seniors listed on Fort Loramie's squad. I couldn't tell you anything about their contribution.

MONDAY night on 'The Sportsfan' on 970WATH Kevin Wiseman, sports editor at the Athens Messenger, will be stopping by to talk about Eastern's win over Newark Catholic Saturday. We will probably discuss Wednesday's TVC meeting involving the possibility of the league adding more teams as well. The show airs live from 6:06-7:00pm on 970WATH or 970wath.com.

By the looks of it - Fort Loramie didn't lose much ... the three seniors played less than 12 minutes in the state championship game versus Berlin Highland.

All the top scorers return - and all the players who logged the most minutes return.

I said throughout the year to my friends in the SHAC that I thought Eastern Meigs would beat Fayetteville by around 15 points......Ft Laramie beat them in the regional finals 70-61.

I think Eastern Meigs takes this state semi 65-59

After Warren beat Athens by 25 - I said they would win the district and beat Logan Elm rather easily .... that didn't work out to well for me I92 ... lol

Just sayin man .. 2 + 2 doesn't always = 4.

With that said ... I HOPE Eastern wins 65-59.

I'm sticking firm with my thoughts.

Fayetteville was winded very early....no way that happens to Eastern.

More intrigue into Thursday's match-up at Value City Arena. DIV ALL OHIO teams came out today and CO-PLAYERS OF THE YEAR WERE: Jenna Burdette, Reedsville Eastern; Darian Rose, Fort Loramie.

The folks I talked to at the Ft Laramie/Fayetteville regional final said Rose was just unbelievable...put her head down drive and just will point after point after point.

Said their defense was right up on you and swarming and not many fouls were called on them. Fayetteville had not seen that with their schedule....Eastern Meigs has and the pressurized finish at HSJ while disheartening.....helped them improve that aspect of their game.
