Very true. Being in the SOC 2 makes this job not as appealing to some I'm sure. Lockery is a great guy and I think could be a really good head coach if he gets at the right school. No matter who took over that job after Barrick left was not going to be put in a good spot, moving to the SOC 2 and losing a ton of talent. Hopefully they find a good fit.
He was only going to be there for a short time regardless, my guess is Leist takes over sooner than later. They moved because of certain ppl but now they're finding out how far off they are, plus now kids are leaving.
Any word on who will be taking girls job?
I'm betting lets of surprises this year in girls and boys

I would imagine there should be some hires soon as Board meetings will be coming up. Peebles has a great tradition and Huntington has also had some really good succes over the years, Piketon had some really good young kids a few years ago so Im sure those schools are trying to get the right person.

I think Huntington has their coach, assuming it will be official next board meeting.

Rumor has it that Jason Taylor is officially Piketon’s girls varsity basketball coach, still waiting on word about the Huntington job.

Interesting.. Figured that would be the choice since he was who took over the end of this past season. Will be curious to see how it plays out.

I have heard 5 or 6 has put in for the Peebles position. One is the young lady who has coached Junior High for the last few years and got overlooked twice for the JV position. She has done a great job with the JH program and helped a lot on the Varsity and JV bench this year.
I have heard that Doug McFarland and Vohn Hoop also put in for it. They both have varsity experience. Vohn has been around the block a time or 2 here already with the girls.
Another one I heard is Johnsons AAU coach and a couple of others.
Should be interesting.

Add Miami Trace to the list as Ben Ackley has moved from the MT girls to boys position. Tough loss for them as he did a nice job but they should attract some good candidates as they have had some really nice success.
Peebles is intriguing just due to the amount of talent they return. Hoopie has been quiet on this one. Huntington returns possibly the best player in SEO so will be interesting to see who they hire and Clay has been probably the most silent.

Was told today Clay has their coach and will be hired at tomorrow's board meeting. I can't confirm it just what I was told. HR job does for sure have a great talented player with it. Peebles has loads of talent coming next few years

Jeremy McGraw hired as girls coach at Fairfield

He is their baseball coach. Formerly Whiteoak’s basketball coach.

Hearing their star 8th grader (Hamilton) and maybe others are headed to Eastern Brown. Hamilton’s dad was the previous coach.
