I always thought she would move up and coach at the college level.

I can see her being very successful with it.

I can't imagine being such a great coach and leaving it, even if it is just temporary.

I spoke with Amy at The Macker and she said she did apply for the Vice Principal's job at Ironton, nothing more. Anything else you might have heard is all rumor. Best way to find out these things is ask the person involved.

Mouth, I was told that too.

Amy must have changed her mind, Ray.

What position did she interview for?

From today's Tribune:

The former Ironton and Chillicothe girls’ coach is not a candidate to return as the Lady Tigers’ coach because the job is not open.

Doug Graham — who has enjoyed his own success the past three seasons with three sectional titles, one district crown, a regional appearance and an SEOAL South Division title — remains the head coach.

It is hard to keep all the different titles at schools straight these days.

Vice, assistant, assistant to the principal, dean, assistant to the superintendent etc.

Schools make these titles to get around certification requirements.

Thanks for posting what I first asked with this thread.

Yes,it is too bad...But if she does get the vice princ job it's only a matter of time before she is coach again. Why? Because the job opens up every year. And eventually like other schools coaching changes are made.

Yep, very true.

I hate to see someone who is as good as she is not coach.

She is great to watch on the sideline.

She gets alot out of her players too.

I like seeing strong female coaches coaching girls.

More of them are needed in all sports.

Alot of times when someone says they aren't a canidate for the job usually means they really are...Maybe not in this case, but it has happened...

I like Coach Graham but, I agree with the Instructor

"She gets alot out of her players too.

I wish Coach Hughes well no matter where she is and what she does.
