I heard that Tommy Hardy was named as the new Trimble HC. If true, this is a great hire. He is a tremendous competitor and motivator. Will add toughness and energy whether the girls like it or not. :)

Just don't promote Dundas from the kindergarten team - we don't want the Vikings ship to sink that fast ...

Apply for the job!! Easy to sit behind a name and keyboard and complain. Give it a try and see how easy it is.

To land a man the likes of Kenny Bixx jr.
for the VC job you will have to do like Ohio State did for
Urban Myer and offer him a lucrative contract based on performance.
Something like:

Non conference wins: a bottle of George Dickel

Conference Wins: carton of Marlboro Reds

Conference Title: Two Cases of Nati Lite

Sectional Title: a bottle of Boones Farm (Blue Hawaiian)

District Title: a years supply of Zig Zag Rollin Papers

Regional Title: 1 brick of Winchester high energy Varmint .22s

State Title: Complete record expunged by the honorable Judge Grillo

What was coach Dixons record at vc? Big loss IMO , the man knows basketball. A big mistake by vc letting him go.

Vinton County did NOT "LET HIM GO." He resigned. Reasons are unclear. Someone will have to double check, but I believe his record was 46-41, that includes 3-4 in the tournament.

As a Viking fan, I am absolutely perplexed with this whole quagmire. Since Matt Combs' tenure as Boys' Varsity Basketball coach, starting 2000-2001 season, we have had EIGHT different girls' varsity basketball coaches. Hashtag What the Freak? There are a lot of young girls, coming up, that are excited about playing basketball, lets hope that the adults don't screw it up for them.

Are you kidding me? I am not liked now...they would really hate me after taking that job. Besides I like the incentive package by Xto for Kenny. He's the man.

What was Dixon's record v DII schools which is what level VC plays against come tournament time. Marietta, Jackson, Unioto, Athens, Warren, Fairfield Union, etc. In the boys case Coach Combs has been very competitive against DII schools.
