Kenny Bixx. At least this time you got 2 out of 5 right. You information gathering skills is improving. Usually you don't get anything right. Congrats to Dixon and Graves of the Lady Vikings and Puckett, Strite and Caudill of the Lady Oaks

Time to get over it, guess it is hard to believe that girls would want to be a part of a program that is playing in the Regional championship game. What are these young ladies thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our girls weren't submitted to the AP last year because our COACH told us he failed to submit the stats on time. So, I'm pretty sure the stats are submitted by the coach.

If this is the associated press poll, when does the coaches poll come out? I am new to this - what is the primary difference in the two?

Congrats to all of the Unioto Sherman Tanks who recieved All-District honors.

Sophs Janae Driggs(3rd) and Mackenzie Arledge(2nd)
Junior Chloe Cottrill(3rd)
Seniors Taylor Corcoran(HM) and Shiann Ray(1st and POY)

And Coach of the Year Cyndy Driggs.

Tough to think that you can have the District POY and COY and not win those same honors in conference. 45-3 in 2 years ain't too bad.

Congratulations to Iris Butcher, Chanda Cuckler and Emily Dunfee for your all- district honors. Great season girls!!!!!
But I do think that Emily Dunfee should have been on the First Team of D.III. She outplayed one of the co-player of the year in everyway when they faced off in their game. Her scoring, rebound, blocks, steals and assits should have garnished her as a first team pick. She even outplayed numerous other all-district girls on the first team D.III and D.II.
But I guess I should have known that she would be overlooked again because she has been overlooked in the past. Why should her awesome senior leadership and overall stats mean anymore this year?
Again, great job (Janitor, Green Valley and I ). I KNOW you all are Awesome!!!!!!!

buddyholly - While I wholeheartedly agree with you, let's be honest. These are the media picks, and unless you've got strong media (i.e. multiple sources, and consistent coverage), your team is going to be at a disadvantage. If Fed Hock had multiple newspapers covering them on a consistent basis, and reporting on all road games, this may have been a different story in terms of the All-District Selections.

Now, let's wait and hear from the media types that are on here and are sore about what I just said...........LOL!

As for "strong" media coverage, there are only 5 AP votes in the SE district. Coaches have to work for there kids. Athens, Marietta, Portsmouth, Ironton and Chillicothe control these votes. They also cover all these kids. Coaches need to make sure the other cities have the info on the kids.
