Cadets move to 6-0 with a 36-33 win over west m. Hard fought win for the Lady cadets. Up next they'll play this weekend, Friday and Saturday, at robert c byrd h.s. Friday night they take on parkersburg catholic and Saturday they square off with wheeling central catholic.
Re: Fort Frye
Good game for the Cadets. Its always good to have some games that give you a good look at how the kids will react in a tight game. Sounds like they handled it well, especially the Freshman.

SportsGuy - Can you tell me if FF and Union Local are in the same division in the OVAC?SportsGuy25 wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 10:41 pm Cadets move to 6-0 with a 36-33 win over west m. Fort got the win last night vs parkersburg catholic 55-34. Junior guard Ella Dowler had a career high 31 points in the win. Up next for the Lady cadets is the eastern eagles next Thursday 12/18.
Re: Fort Frye
Another nice win for FF. They have a couple more tune ups before they play Laurel. I feel like that will be a bit tougher game than maybe they expect. FF friend feels good about their ability to handle the ball and pressure that Laurel will give them and frustrate them in the half court. Sounds like they have some tricks up their sleeves for the Gators. Hope to see that game at Marietta College.

Re: Fort Frye
Fort could end up playing shenandoah 4 times. They have 2 regular season games, possibly an ovac match up, and possibly a district tournament game match up.

Re: Fort Frye
Fort will travel to eastern tomorrow night to take on the eagles. Should be a good, physical game. The eagles coming off a nice win vs Trimble. I imagine it'll be a close game right up til the end. Good luck ladys.
Re: Fort Frye
I believe Fort is working on some things still but I don't expect this to be that tight of a game. FF is getting things together and I would expect a comfortable win tonight. But I am hoping that Eastern can do some good things and keep it close. They seem to be really building and they played well the other night. I think their best game was against FH but if they keep stacking some wins and getting more confident, they can make a run for the Hocking title. Not taking anything away from their Waterford win but they just seem to be really down this year (more so than I expected with the talent they have). Best of luck to both teams and hopefully this is an injury free game.SportsGuy25 wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 3:26 pm Fort will travel to eastern tomorrow night to take on the eagles. Re: Fort Frye
I’m really looking forward to this matchup tonight. Borich has done an incredible job with this group, and FF is playing some very good basketball right now. They have key role players and, just as importantly, players who simply know what to do in big moments.dboy wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 11:40 amI believe Fort is working on some things still but I don't expect this to be that tight of a game. This game will come down to who can guard Eastern’s PG (#3) and who can contain Simpson. Both of those matchups will play a huge role in how this one unfolds.
Dowler from FF has had some strong games and is the type of player who plays hard until the final buzzer. Huffman will also be tough to beat—she’s been very solid and has put together some good performances this season.
If FF can play at their pace and bring their speed and hard-nosed defense against this Eastern team, I think it could be a big win for them. That’s also a tough place to play, which adds another layer to the challenge.
I’ll give FF the win, but I expect it to be close—within 8–10 points.
FF blew Parkersburg Catholic away which according to the WV media -PC was loaded with talent. But FF has been playing great basketball since the beginning of the season. They’re still getting their bearings in a few areas, but they’ve been fun to watch. Definitely a team to keep an eye on as the season progresses and they continue to gel under Borich’s helm

Did Fort change up their rotation? Harder to tell from the livestream but it looked like Casto wasn’t startingSportsGuy25 wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 5:28 pm https://fan.hudl.com/usa/oh/reedsville/ ... hared=true

Casto is on vacation with her family. She missed the parkersburg catholic game and tonight. She'll be back for forts next game at federal hocking.
