Raceland, KY defeated Wheelersburg tonight 55-51.

And just a note: Whoever the referees were in the JV game did a heck of a job. The one guy's first name was Dwayne but they were sharp--in postition and called what happened. They got their calls right every time. They maybe missed one or two fouls the whole game and maybe two walks but they weren't major/obvious ones. They were just on target all game and it was really nice to see referees having a good outing. AND they weren't lazy. Especially with the girls and especially with the JV, too many referees just go through the motions and don't call the fouls that they would if it was boys' game. These two are welcome to ref any game I am watch. Unfortunately, they probably don't have Ohio licenses. <sigh>

drrabbit.....I didn't have this Raceland game on my Wheelersburg schedule. Do you have the makeup dates for their game with Valley and are they going to play Fairland?

As I explained previous about Fairland, Fairland did not put Wheelersburg on their schedule even though they had agreed to the game verbally. It can not be made up as Fairland scheduled someone else. Luckily Raceland was able to fit in this game on short notice. (Kentucky is not limited to 20 games.)

The Valley game may be played on the 16th. It depends on if they decide to hold it in the middle school gym. They are hosting a tournament game that night in the high school gym. But it has not been finalized yet.

South Webster won tonight against Wheelersburg 57-41.

Wheelersburg had it down to less than ten late but South Webster pulled away at the free throw line.

Kayla cook had 26 of the 57 points and 14 of South Webster's 27 rebounds. She also had assists on at least 5 of the other 12 baskets that she did not score. Brianna Rawlins had 15 points and Taylor Queen and Erin Sherman each had 8 points.

Lainee Clay led Wheelersburg with 15 points. Sarah Schmidt added 11. Wheelersburg out-rebounded South Webster for the game with 14 of their 28 rebounds coming on offense.

The final regular season scheduled game is Symmes Valley at New Boston on Thursday the 12th.

The NB at St.Joseph game has not been rescheduled to my knowledge.

Symmes Valley Lady Vikings get a win today against St. Joe, 46-27 at home on senior day. Record is 6-10 overall, 4-7 SOC.

Oak Hill 78, Northwest 41

Lady Oaks are now 15-1 overall, 11-0 in the SOC II and clinch at least a share of the SOC II championship.

Oak Hill is also rated fourth in the Division III Associated Press statewide poll.

This was also Senior and Parents Day for the Lady Oaks, as they were honored in pregame ceremonies.

Congratulations to Oak Hill's two seniors — Allison Leonard and Emilee Metzler — as well as all of the Lady Oaks.
