I finally went to a girls varsity game.And what a game I picked to go to.The Logan girls played like a team possessed.This was one of the best basketball I have ever saw,and I've seen quite a few in my years.

what a wonderful SEOAL battle. Two very good teams played to the final buzzer.Logan had many chances to defend their home court ,but the lady tigers came away with the win.Coach Walsh and his staff werte ready for the Tigers. They did a nice job. Not sure how but the Tigers staff pulled out the W.It doers not matter what the score was or who had how many points . The bottom line is Marietta headed home with abig win. The formula to win the SEOAL is to hold court at home and steal a win on the road.Just what Marietta did.Interesting what thje new year will bring.MTTA jayvees improve to 5-0 with agreat second half effort against a well -coached Logaan team.Competition is what it is all about.The only way to get better is play the best.Ihave alot of respect for Pat WALSH . But hey we have aa good one at Marietta.

I think the right to post an opinion on this site as long as it is in a proper decorum is OK. The site is monitored for posts that do not fit within the rules of the board. This site is actually pretty tame as compared to some others visited. Opinions are rebutted and observers are free to draw their own conclusions. Of course personalities will play into the posts. I also believe we all want what is best for the girls, the program and all involved, we just might have different ideas as to the paths taken.

Logan BB: After losing a close game to Marietta this past week the away game at Ironton with a win will keep the Logan girls right in thick of the league race. Of course this will be another tough test with a physical team. The keys to the game for Logan need to be repeated on a regular basis. Pressure defense, work the boards, finish your shots, make the free throws and play as a team. This will keep you in all the games you play. Every loose ball is yours. Good luck ladies .

Logan BB: Game with PHS this Saturday. Still no makeup game on the schedule for Warren/???? Looks like Ironton plays Marietta this Saturday also. Ironton gave Oak Hill about all it could handle this past week so this game could be a good one. All teams will have to get better to survive and we are still in the first half of the season. Nothing stays the same. Either up or down. Good luck ladies.

Logan BB: Logan varsity 47 Fairfield Union 57. Logan JV win their game. Freshman lose. Glad to have this game after the long layoff rather than a league game. Came out flat to say the least. 4 points scored in the lst qtr and having 14 points on the scoreboard at half on 7 of 28 shooting. Slow to cover FU in transition along with the poor shooting put the ladies in a hole that could not be retrieved from. 6 of 8 from from the ft line for the game for Logan as compared to 22 of 30 for FU is kind of how the game was played. FU has a good team, well coached with good floor leadership with the Wyett girl who was 13 of 14 from the free throw line. 2nd half the Logan girls played with FU and would get to single digits but could not get over the hump. The game for Logan will be at Chilli Wednesday as they have one loss in the league same as Logan. Good luck ladies at Chilli.

Logan BB: Logan varsity 47 Chillichothe 41. Logan JV won also. Obviously a big win for the Logan ladies. This puts them in second place in the league by themselves Started out slow and trailed 12 to 8 and the end of 1st qtr but a strong 2nd qtr put the girls up by 6 at the intermission. Some clutch play kept Chilli at bay with some key free throws late in the game to seal the win. The ladies play at Jackson this Saturday. Jackson will be coming off a win over Gallipolis this evening. Good luck ladies.

Logan BB: The Varsity and JV travel to Jackson Saturday. Logan won in OT when the game was played at Jims gym. Jackson won over Gallipolis their last game so expect this to be a challenge for our ladies at their house. Of course the formula is very simple. Just need to keep winning. Stay focused girls and bring home another road win. Go Chiefs.
