Lady trojans with 2 big wins at the classic in the country tournament over the extended weekend.

First game against #1 team in division 3 Granville y a score of 60 to 33
Ke ke woods led the Lady trojans with 31 points
Seiana Allen and hayven carter had ten each while freshman Salem Allen scored 8.

Mondays game against D1 Sycamore out of Cincinnati the trojans trailed by 15 at one point in the 3rd and rallied back with excellent defense to get the win by a score of 52 to 48
Again ke ke woods was the leading scorer with 22 points as Seiana Allen had 19 with 5 threes I believe while hayven carter had 10 points.

Congrats to the lady trojans girls and coaches on another great showing at this tournament. 👏

Thanks, biggdowgg, for the results @The Classic in the Country.

These Lady Trojans continue to play well against top rated teams. Granville was undefeated going into the game, yet the Trojans dominated from start to finish. KeKe Woods' 31 point effort makes the 30 points club for the 2nd time on www.trojanhoops.org. Good to see 3 girls in double figures, and also encouraging to see freshman Salem Allen with 8 points.

Against Cincinnati Sycamore, a very large D1 school and a member of the Greater Miami Conference, which includes D1 schools Cincinnati Princeton, Lakota West, Lakota East, Fairfield, Middletown, Hamilton, Colerain, Cincy Oak Hills, and Mason, the Lady Trojans battled back from a 15 point deficit to get the win. KeKe Woods' 22 points gave her 53 for the 2 day total. Sienna Allen had 29 points in the 2 games, while Hayven Carter totaled 20. The Lady Trojans are being more prominent from 3 point land, as was the case in this Showcase.

Sycamore is currently in 4th place in the 10 team league, with a 5-3 mark.

Portsmouth once again went undefeated in the Classic in the Country for the 2nd straight season. Last season the Lady Trojans defeated Kettering Fairmont 48-45 in 2 OT, and topped Lakota West 51-42.

These Lady Trojans continue to be David slewing a bunch of Goliaths.

The Portsmouth Junior High Lady Trojans continue to have only 1 loss on the season, that to Gallia Academy a few weeks earlier. On Monday, PJHS gets their chance to even the series with Gallia as they battle on Monday @PHS, weather permitting.

The Lady Trojans defeated Coal Grove last night @CG by a score of 57-24. Sienna Allen and KeKe Woods shared scoring honors with 19 points, while Hayven Carter added 10 and Brianna Shannon had 8. Allen's 3 point game is gaining steam, and the play of Shannon off the bench has been a huge plus for PHS.

Portsmouth is scheduled to play Cincinnati Mt.Notre Dame tomorrow, but it looks like it will be cancelled due to the weather. Next Thursday they travel to Fairland to battle the Lady Dragons in what should be another intense game between the 2 most dominant schools in the OVC. Fairland is currently a game up in the standings due to beating PHS 44-39 earlier in the season.

According to facebook, lol, the game has been rescheduled. If true, Taliferro(sp?) may be be able to play in the game. Would be big for the dragons. Looking forward to another great game between these rivals. If I was betting I’d say game #2 of 3. Have to think these two are the favorites in D5. Hard to believe these two are both in the same tiny conference in southeastern Ohio.
