Yes MD, this was a conference game and had to be played.

While I hate to see any team get beat this badly, I will not fault the Coach, or the girls, for the score here. It is a sad situation over in Mason with the girls program, I hope it improves.

And Oaf, old buddy, still love ya. No hard feelings whatsoever. We should always be able to agree to disagree, and respect each other for it. :122245

Absolutely Steely that goes without saying brother. I trust what you say about this game and if you say they didn't run it up I completely take your word for it no questions asked. Sounds like a tough, no win situation for everybody. Fine line between competing and class.

Yeah Manitou, don't give em any fuel for the fire, lol..possible match up down the road. Seen them play twice last year nd didn't strike me as a run'em up type of team. Can't help it if they can score. Plus did the other team use the dont prevent offense? Sometimes that hurts the team doing it more than the ther team. If you are going to lose my as well try to score as much as you can in the loss

Huntington St. Joe will be a much more competitive BB team for the Eagles. Is the game at Big Sandy Arena on Friday night? If not, then what are the details, please?

The St Joe girls play Eastern at 6:30 on Friday and then play Fort Frye at 2:30 on Saturday Feb 1st. Both games are in the Big Sandy Arena. Looks like both St Joe and Eastern are ranked #1in the state in their divisions.

As the parent of a child who played Eastern last year, I caught John after the game (they had just beat us something like 87-21) and thanked him for calling of the dogs early. They could have made the score anything they wanted. Eastern does not attempt to run the score up they are just that good. I was not at the game but I am sure from past experience, Eastern took it easy.

Ironman, it's on 4th avenue. It's on the other end of campus. About 3 blocks up from Old Main and the Library.

Also, you gotta try Backyard Pizza and Raw Bar some night when you're down. Delicious.

Congrats to Lady Eagles on their #1 ranking. Coach Burdette is a class act. He wants his team's to play great defense but would never run up score on anyone. They could score over 100 points numerous times this year. Good luck rest of the year

Might want to try a Thurman Burger from Thurman's Cafe in Columbus, OH before making that claim. It was featured on an episode of Man v. Food with Adam Richman and they are unbelievable!  just pure artery clogging gluttony!
