Getting ready to drive to Oak Hill now. And yes Oak Hill had a good crowd Monday night and I expect nothing less tonight. Almost makes this ex coach want to coach again.

Yes, SP did fight back hard. Oak Hill was up 15 late and SP got 3 three pointers in a row and a deuce while Oak Hill just scored 2 during that stretch to cut the lead to 6. After that quick stretch of shots by SP they went cold and Oak Hill also stepped up their D. It was good for the Lady Oaks to have a team come back on them quickly like that to see how they would respond. It was also good to get a win without pressing. A lot of times the press gets us points and then you will face a good guard late in the tournament and those points won't be there. So the Lady Oaks did a great job on the half court man and zones tonight. Great job by Mikie and Leanna on Fletcher tonight!!! Steals against her don't come easy and they had several tonight.

Great game by both teams. South Point fought hard to make up the deficit going into the second half. I feel Oak Hill's win was partly due to the pressure on defense and their rebounding. I had the team for 27 rebounds. Caudill with 13, Burton with 6, T. Hale and Strite with 3 each and both Adkins' with 1 apiece. Of course that is unofficially. Congratulations, Lady Oaks, on great team play against the Pointers!!!!

Took another road trip to Oak Hill and I was not disappointed in the least. It was a far different game than the Ironton game. It was a physical contest that test the Oak Hill team who are more on the run and gun sorta od finesse game. They answered the challenge with hard play. I felt the officiating team did a decent job but didnt really agree with the Technical foul called on Oak Hill. I was sitting in that area and all I saw the Oak Hill players do was walk away. Personally I felt the South Point player should have been ejected but that's just my opinion. All in all a good test for both teams and they should both go far on the tourney trail.

Actually those stats from the Ironton Tribune are wrong for SP. Fletchter had 9, Bennett had 9, and Bradburn had 14.

As for the technical fouls the SP player was trying to get up when the OH girl grapped her arm, all the SP girl said was I didnt touch her and he gave her a T. But that being said both deserved the Tech after the whistle was blown and they didnt stop.

The game was called pretty fairly until the time out by the ref for an OH girls shoe being untied when SP had a fast break. Then he lets OH call a time out. Seems to me he needs to get his rule book back out and read it.

Very proud of SP for not giving up. And it wasnt a 25 point beat down like everyone predicted! Our girls can play ball!!!!!

I must respectfully disagree the SP player actually hit the OH girl with her fist. I was right in front and i saw it. And as I said before The OH girls walked away. That's what I saw first hand so i will stick with my previous post!

We'll see them again at the Convo and both teams will have to play on their own (without the help of their 3 refs). We'll see who walks away with the win or the loss then. My opinion, the Lakers couldn't win at Oak Hill. Even Kobe would be in foul trouble!

Aren't these two schools in different divisions?

Or do they have a rematch at the convo?

D2, where it will be tough going for them like last year. They are talented as heck but I have yet to see them put a full game together against a quality team.

SP is D2, I think sportnut might be talking about Ironton and Oak Hill meeting up again. I hate to say it but you are right about that MightyOaksFan they can't!
