Athens seems to really respond well after a loss. They lost to Wellston and won the very next night AT LOGAN ELM ... after losing to Warren - they knocked off Alexander, and then Fairland on back-to-back nights ... lose to Logan last night and just came out and steamroll Wellston tonight ... they looked like a team on a mission right from the onset.

I'll update the records when I come out with this weekends new rankings after this weeks play ... with that said Whiteoak is in position to win the SHAC small school division for the first time since 2006 ... from the Highland Press the Wildcats can clinch at least a share of the title with a win over Manchester in their next game Friday night - I like their odds in this one ... a win in the final league game vs North Adams and the league title returns to Whiteoak alone ... best of luck to the Wildcats in their final 2 league contests ...

... tough loss of the freshman Hosley as he got hurt on a drive to the rim ... Detillion got dinged up as well, sat for a few minutes after what looked like he banged knees with another player ... Unioto played well tonight vs the Purple going 6/18 from behind the arc ... best of luck to the Shermans the rest of the way, as well as hoping Erique Hosley the best in his recovery ...

Quick update on Erique Hosley: he had successful surgery this morning on his wrist and while unlikely, could be back for a district final if Unioto would advance that far.

I have heard a lot of positives about a freshman at Unioto. I hadn't seen him play and I am sorry he got hurt... Wishing him a speedy recovery... Also if he was going to have a basketball injury I am glad for him it wasn't an ACL or a foot injury.. Those seem to take longer to recover from...wishing the young man the best.
