Good news they get Jeremy Farmer back but bad news that they lose Aaron Southworth for the rest of the season.

Good road win for Adena.

Adena 68
East Clinton 55

The win moves the Warriors to 6-10 after only 8 wins the previous 4 years combined.

WOW! Piketon not having much luck with their big men. Hopefully they won't be without both of them for too long. I would've been really worried about this team in Waverly. They "could've" surprised one of the big dawgs. What happened to Southworth?

Southern 57, Trimble 52

The Tornadoes went into the dungeon last night and stole a victory from the Tomcats after trailing for most of the game. Southern outscored Trimble 15-5 in the 4th quarter and took control of the TVC-Hocking in the process. Both teams looked very good however and will be a threat in the DIV district tournament, IMO. The 'Cats are stacked with athletes, have maybe the best big man in the TVC in Micah Couch (24 points, 10 rebounds) and surprised with me their ball movement for 3 quarters. Had they kept it up in the 4th they may have won. The Tornadoes on other hand are just a typical, well coached Southern basketball team. They hurt you down low with 6'5 Dennis Teaford and 6'7 Chandler Drummer (12 points) - have a real nice athlete in Tristen Wolfe (14 points) - and then kill you from the beyond the arc with Taylor McNickle (19 points).

The one weakness I see with Southern is they lack a true point guard, the big weakness I see with Trimble is they seem to lack a consistent 3-point threat. Wolfe is a slasher and can handle the ball and had a nice dunk in pre-game - but I'm not sure he's PG material. Trimble has 2 PG's in Konner Standley and Justice Jenkins, but nobody for the 'Cats really stepped up and provided them with an 'outside threat'. Teams will press Southern (like Fed Hock did on Tuesday) and teams will strictly play 2-3 zone vs Trimble to try and take Couch away. Still lot's of basketball left to be played and both teams will need to work on their 'weaknesses' before tournament time.
