well, I kind of feel bad about not saving you a seat at the table Floyd ... so I've decided to make it up to you.

This March, at the Convo - I will save you the best seat in the house! How does about 5 rows up, around the upper-ring, opposite the American flag sound? I'll even make it an isle seat!!! LOL

I'll have to pull a lot of strings to get that coveted spot you know - so you may even owe me one if I'm able to pull it off.

I am new to the forum but have been reading quite a bit over the last few years and decided to register....I will be able to provide info / updates for the three MSL teams in the Southeast District (Circleville, Fairfield Union, Logan Elm)....I know these northern end schools can sometimes get lost a little bit in the shuffle!

really like the work you put into this pfloyd....it's a huge job tracking all of the schedules / records of all these teams and trying to compile rankings....I know you've been at this a long time going back to the jjhuddle times and a couple people I know conversed with you a bit during those days....you are a great advocate of all of these area schools....I hope things go well for you when you head back to OSU tomorrow!

as for yesterday's games, big upset at Logan Elm with Circleville pulling out the 13 point win....the Braves hit a small rough patch here after the blowout loss at Bloom Carroll and the loss to Circleville at home, but certainly remain a very capable and talented team....4 wins in a row now for Circleville, which has started to overcome the early season loss of their PG David Burroughs....Logan Elm falls to 7-3, 4-2 in the MSL....Circleville improves to 6-5, 3-3 in the MSL....as far as the rankings go, maybe this win will earn Circleville a little more respect (they are still numerous spots behind 3-7 Westfall, which they defeated by 16 pts!)

Fairfield Union earned a hard fought win over Teays Valley 38-35....the Falcons now stand at 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the MSL

the MSL wraps up its first round of league plays this weekend

pfloyd...........MSLfan is correct. I mis-informed you about FU`s record. They are 4-6 just as he said and not 3-7 as I claimed. Sorry about that. I won`t make another mistake again before I double check my facts. LOL.

MSL_Fan ... it's always great to have input from posters from ALL the leagues ... as you posted sometimes it's hard to get information from the Northwest Territories LOL ... I had read a game rundown for Circleville in the paper - must have been the first game that their PG was back ... made it sound like he would make a big difference for Coach Evans' Roundtown boyz .... with 3 "W's" in row, a big win over Logan Elm the Tigers are definitely on the committee of one's radar ... thanks for the MSL contingent information - great stuff ...

Best of luck Pfloyd and family with this 4th round of treatment. May it be the last one that you will need. Prayers are going up
for you in hopes that all these hospital stays and treatments and recoveries have done what they were intended to do and that you
can regain some sense of normalcy again in your world.

Circleville really struggled after its opening win with Adena. Burroughs was the lone returning starter from last year, and when you start two sophomores and some inexperienced upperclassmen, that's tough losing your point. The Tigers are becoming a better team. Justin Hill, a sophomore guard, has been coming on and is a steal and slasher to the basket threat. Will Giffin, another sophomore, has a lot of athletic ability. Can really jump and has long arms. Then you mix in Reed Hugus, who has been a solid contributor, Austin Manson, Carson Haddox, Kyle Smith, etc. and it's coming together. Getting Smith back from a football injury helped with the ball handling. Circleville expects Burroughs back before the tournament, which will be a big lift. Circleville has an extremely tough game in the Tiger Den against sixth-ranked Bloom-Carroll on Saturday.

As for Logan Elm, the Braves are struggling putting the ball in the bucket. Can't shoot 12 of 50 and win many. I should see them against Amanda on Friday if my recovery continues from flu and crap. LE got off to a start that was frankly better than most people expected. Now, they're facing a little adversity they need to overcome.

Im pretty sure West Union's record is 1-9 with the win over St. Patrick, ky. They had a game with New Boston that was postponed.
