Trojans playing some great defense over the last two games.....giving up 36 and 38, wont be behind often when you hold your opponents to those numbers

Hey Pfloyd.....just curious....I notice you always include Washington CH, Leesburg Fairfield, Hillsboro, Miami Trace, and Lynchburg in your rankings.....Hows come you never include schools like Blanchester (9-2) and East Clinton (6-3) in your rankings? They are located right next to or in between all of these other schools, and play almost all of them during the regular season.....Its all good, just curious why they never get mentioned :)

Probably because they are not in the SOUTHEAST DISTRICT.

That is what I assumed, but the rankings state "Southern/Southeast Ohio", which they are both definitely more SOUTH than Washington CH or Miami Trace

pfloyd- How many different sources do you check for some of these scores? I mean, last night's were easy to get, but I have a hard time finding some of the SCOL scores and I live in the general area! I wish maxpreps was required for all schools.

Ironton should take a big hit after losing this game to (9-8) Greenup County, KY

A big rematch with Portsmouth just around the corner on the 17th.

Trace is 4-5

I was at the game and both teams struggled mightly at the line - Westfall 6 of 24 and Trace 7 of 16. Both need to kick up their games and try to finish strong if they want to do much in the tourney.

I saw both early in the season and that's the exact reason I didn't make the trip to Williamsport tonight.

A win is a win though, no matter how ugly. MT did beat Hillsboro and Madison Plains, so I'm guessing that they are improved, but those FT #s are awful.

First time I've seen Trace. You can look at those wins two ways - Trace is getting better than the beginning of the season or Plains and Hillsboro benefit from playing weaker schedules and run up their records. It is probably a little bit of both.

Trace has two Pettiford's, and I'm not sure. My Trace roster is in the office. I'll let you know later today.

MT has two pettifords. One is a 6'3 athletic freshman and the other is a sophomore about 6'0. The frosh is the better of the two right now.
