Floyd, I'm going to go out on a limb and be a realist here and not a homer. I think you're going to see after today the Vikes are a little too high up the list and here's why. First and foremost, VC lost its leading scorer (Kidd) as well as Smallwood (PG) and Remy to graduation. That's a load to replace. Although Combs seems to get the most out of his players every year and they seem to always hit that 16-20 game win mark, I think this years team will be different. At times you may see 2 freshman, 2 sophomores, a junior and a senior on the floor together. This team is one of the youngest I can ever remember at VC. Now with that said.. this is a team loaded with young "talent" Some people around town have said this could be potentially the best VC group ever, and I agree with them. But for now, they are green, young, inexperienced, whatever you want to cal them. They will take their lumps this season and they will make mistakes, but I feel that as good of a coaching staff that we have here at VC, these boys will be rolling come January/February. They may not be Athens caliber (yet) but you will see a different team late in the season. A team that , on a good night, could knock off anyone. That's my pre season thoughts. They're all probably wrong...haha so take it for what its worth. Hope to see you at the classic tonight!

I Don't know who won the game but really impressed with the Logan Elm squad! Great rebounding team and played the game the way it's supposed to be played! Where do they rank on PF's standings?

Should be a great ball game. Dillon Young is ridiculous. Was a scorer as a Soph, then more of a PG as a jr, and now he's combined the two to be a complete guard. Not to mention that his teammates are outstanding as well.

Hopefully its a good game ... 4/5 of the Bulldogs starting line-up just lost to Marion franklin 7 days ago - they haven't even really practiced yet.

I would think it would be, but Athens is a more talented team. LE just isn't a pushover (which we all knew already) what's the date of that game?

ZT looked really good, even though Amanda was completely outclassed in talent.

I've heard from a very good source that Circleville looked outstanding tonight at Adena. The MSL will be really good again this year with Bloom, Circleville, and LE.

Paint Valley dominated Northwest tonight 60-21 and faces Leesburg Fairfield in a D4 clash tomorrow night at Portsmouth Clay. Clay and Northwest face off in the opener tomorrow.

Big game tomorrow, Unioto travels to Lucasville Valley.
