Ben Wagner Gymnasium is just a hop, skip and a jump from from the Pfloyd residence ... now that half of the by-pass is open - its only a hop and a skip ... lol ... Fed Hock, Coach Caldwell, a young 'Bucks team with 11 wins already, a battle for the 1 or No. 2 seed on the line ... Saturday's choice is a NO BRAINER, IMO.

:)

No games this season between ISJ and Rose Hill, KY. ISJ had 2 meetings on the schedule but Rose Hill had none. ISJ did pick up one game against Greenup Co Ky on Feb 15.

... Zane Trace hosting Eastern Pike is a great matchup down on Rt 180 - but I have seen ZT and will have seen Eastern Pike Tuesday night down in Beaver ... I have not seen Federal Hocking or Nelsonville York ... I am leaning toward heading for Nelsonville if all goes well tomorrow at OSU ... after the long drive to Beaver tomorrow and then the trip to Chesapeake Friday evening I'll need a short trip Saturday LOL ...

... thanks BlindWhiteHat on the heads up on the SJ schedule update ... from the scores of other Rose Hill games this season (30+ margin of loss), SJ doesn't want to play in a "no-contest" game as that would be vs Rose Hill KY ...

Piketon travels to Unioto on Friday night. Should be a heck of a game. I'd be weary of MT at Huntington though, Huntington's top player is ineligible, so I'm not sure how much of a threat they will be from here on out.

In all honesty Floyd, BEN WAGNER gymnasium might just be my favorite venue to watch a game at ... they kept their 'old school' structure in place (the split levels on each side) - but gave it a makeover with the new floor and paint ... they always put on a good show with their pep-band, which does all the Ohio Bobcats material ... and the game itself is very intriguing ... Coach Kline wants his young 'Bucks running up and down the court scoring lots of points, coach Caldwell wants the opposite ... and lets face it, if you get their and grab a sit directly behind the Lancer bench - your money at the door was well spent regardless of the outcome.

... daniC - hate to hear that about the Huntington player being ineligible ... saw HHS host Valley - the Huntsmen played VHS even through 3 1/2 quarters ... down their top player must have been a factor in Huntington only scoring 30 points vs Adena Saturday ... Miami Trace will not make life any easier for HHS Saturday night ...

93dog ... watching Coach Caldwell is definitely worth the price of admission LOL ... Coach Kline - I have a lot of respect for (Coach Kline made his way up to the cheap seats last season in Logan introduced himself to pfloyd - he didn't have to do that but did before his team took the floor) , doing a great job court side with this years NY squad ... should be a great game with the "battle" for the control of tempo in this one ...

Definitely not. Losing 18 pts a game, along with a solid ball handler and good defender/rebounder is bad news for the Huntsmen. But, I still wouldn't be surprised with them beating anyone along the way, those Huntington kids are always a hard nosed bunch of kids who are well coached and have a lot of pride.

danic...if MT plays like they did Sat. vs London, Huntington will win even with their player missing. MT seems to relax too much vs teams they should beat easily. London was 5-10 going into the game last Saturday.

pfloyd, i know it's a long drive from Logan, but i wish you could make it to Miami Trace for a game. The game vs Unioto will probably be a good matchup. on a side note, do you know Mike Derr? i think he teaches at Logan. i was roommates with him at OSU Medical Center in the summer of 1990 after our accidents.

The fifth loss was Maysville. Not sure of the score, but it wasn't close (20some).

pfloyd we would like to see you in the cheap seats at the Peake friday. The Peake plays Sat in the Huntington Prep Hoops Classic at 1:30 against June Buchannan High from Pippa Passas, Ky which I believe is associated with Alice Lloyd College. These games are at Spring Valley High School in Huntington
