I think Chesapeake will surprise a lot of people this year. They have looked good all summer long and are getting better and better. Coach Davis will have them ready for each and every game.
Why wouldn't Peake play Ironton this year? :?

I like this Valley team, although Hillsboro is down, I was impressed in what I seen. The good thing for the Indians they will find out how good they really are with (D3) #1 Ironton and #2 Piketon and a Barrick coached Burg team in the first two weeks. May drive to Ironton to see this one...see what's in store for my Streaks!

Would be surprised if Ironton doesn't make final 4 this year and contend for state title. Should be an Ironton win, especially at Ironton.

i heard that as well, along with hearing that around 30 to 34 of his points were layups...

I think Mcbee might be the second best guard in southern ohio next to Irontons Carter. I was going to ask if it was a run it up game but by the sound of it Shoe played his bench about half the game . Wow I'm starting to think I'm underestimating the Falcons. Would love to see them and Piketon go at it .

The newspaper had him hitting on 6 3pt shots. So, to say he had 30 points off of lay-ups would be way wrong.

Surprising early final

Amanda 48
Chillicothe 47

Amanda's Andrew Otto knocks down 2 FTs with a second left. He had 23 and Thress had 20 for them before fouling out. Chillicothe's Zach Johnson and Adam Bixler each had 16. Amanda led 41-25 after 3 when Chillicothe only scored 1 point in the 3rd. Tim Beard made a layup with 10 seconds left to take their 1st lead in the 2nd half before Otto's late heroics.

Amanda is now 2-0. Chillicothe is now 0-3 and hosts Logan tomorrow night.

It would have been one thing to keep McBee in the game till the end. Minford did not. Is a teams supposed to lay down and give the other team open layups because they have hammered them for 3 quarters? Are the subs supposed to intentionally miss shots so they dont score more points?

I dont think so. Minford players, coaches and fans are classy for the most part. To say anything otherwise is totally foolish. I am sure that everyone in the gym knew the game was getting out of hand.

Watch high school football games. Just because one team is winning 40-0 at halftime doesnt mean the starters dont go back in to start the second half. They always go back in. Normally they play for 3 quarters then the subs come in. Basketball is no different. The starters play and work on things. Teams dont have to go away from what they do because they are blowing another team out.

Obviously bbjunky81 is a jealous fool.
