Seeing that post just made me remember to put a plug in for some people down on Rt 7 along the river ... As I made the LONG trip to Chesapeake for the Beasts of the Southeast a few weeks back I made the greatest discovery a man my age could make while driving a vehicle - radio station 105.1!!!! Maybe the best the station I have ever run across (besides 105.5 and 970 here in Athens of course ... lol) ... anyone happening to make the trip to Huntington Thursday or Saturday - if you like great music - turn your dial to 105.1.

I knew it was a great station the second I stumbled onto it ... the song 'HEY YOU' by Pink Floyd was playing ... any station that plays Pink Floyd is flat out awesome ... lol ... but they didn't stop their. We heard everything from PINK FLOYD- to the EAGLES - to AC/DC - to GUNS-N-ROSES - to ERIC CLAPTON - to the RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS ... they even mixed in a VELVET UNDERGROUND song ... I mean, who plays Velvet Underground on the air waves?

Heck, I'm thinking about making the 2 1/2 hour drive back down to Huntington Thursday just so I can listen again ...

When we played WCH the 2 guys that lit us up were Derek Shaw and Conner Eckles ( hopefully spelled their names correctly ) ...Shaw reminds me a lot of Lawson at Eastern Brown, except Lawson I think has more range...he 's about 6'3" and extremely hard to match up against because he is too big for most guards and too fast for most post players. He created a ton of shots for the accurate shooters on the perimeter. They have a nice team

lightle04/r1master/WarriorBlue - great stuff, exactly what I was looking for r1master/WarriorBlue - the "who" that may have been the man or men that showed on the night your team played these fine teams - BECAUSE IF your an elite team it isn't one guy, it isn't 2 guys that make TEAM it is ALL those players who "bring it" every night - not just the scorers but those kids that make sure the opposing team stays under that magic defensive number of 50 for the night , kids don't have to score to make the team a TEAM ... thanks guys I'll make sure the players you posted get post ...

For some reason Trae Williams (Athens) did not play versus Vinton County - but he had been getting around 7-9 minutes a game. He is very raw (only a sophmore) - but he has something that can't be taught or coached: speed, athletic ability and can absolutely jump out of the gym. He will grow up and mature and become a better basketball player to go along with Burrow, Leuhrman, Leuhrman, Saltzmen and Watson ... Athens is pretty lucky really to have a kid with that much athletic ability as its 6th man for the next three years.

Valley's Roster:

Zach Shope JR.
Chris Flowers JR.
Will Howard SR.
Jordan West JR.
Hayden Dunn JR.

Bryan Rolfe FR.
Ethan Clark-Holbrook JR.
Ryan Brown Soph.
Dakota Baker JR.
Caleb Miller JR.
Kyle Miller JR.

The Indian starters are in bold and the others are based somewhat on rotation positions. Valley is deep and they have played 4 games this season where all 11 scored.
