Thanks TSYS!!! Looking forward to catching Coach Speed’s troops 2 or 3 times before Christmas!

Do the Dragons have any size inside this season to go with the perimeter shooters/guard play ?

Funny you ask P! Our tallest players didn’t play last year. Their back this year!

Those that played
Noah Marcum 6’4” Sr
Clif Fransen 6’2” SO

Those returning to play
Ethan Stewart 6’4” Jr
Darius Lewis 6’4” Sr
Bryson Hunt 6’2-3” Sr - started multiple games as a SO

Throw in Will Davis at 6’2” and can jump over anyone.

Dragons will have some height for once. Now they just need chemistry.

Im hoping the Dragons get back to being one of the top teams in S Ohio but we shall see . If they can figure out their rolls , should be a pretty decent season.

I don't get to too many scrimmages , can't make the make Miami Trace visiting Fairland on Nov 18th Saturday morning - BUT I might have to make an exception for the November 27 vs Minford a 6pm matchup ... we'll see what is going on with my "day job" ...

Not going to be super deep but they should be very athletic. We return 6 from the varsity squad and 5 of those played good minutes last year for the varsity. I’m assuming 2 or 3 guys from the JV last year will get some minutes and also a freshman forward getting some minutes. All I know is Coach McClanahan will have them playing hard on the defensive side like he has since he has been at the helm.

Coach McClanahan played a bunch in his rotation last season - he should have players with varsity PT - starters in Jeffery Bishop, Cole Tipton, Trevor Fike should be a good nucleus for PW ... I like what Coach McC does defensively - they play hard and force you to play all 94 feet ... thanks C34C34!

Year number 4 at West. Being younger the coaches I remember at West have been Scott Jenkins, Don Gibson, (Crazy year with Gibson quitting during season then we had Charlie Kitchen to finish the season), Jason Smith, Travis Bradford, Bill Hafer and now coach McClanahan.

What Coach McClanahan has accomplished in his first 3 years none of the other guys between him and Coach Jenkins can say they done it. Jenkins won a sectional title in 1998 and we didn’t win another until McClanahan’s first season. I’ve always been around the West basketball program since I was a young kid as a ball boy for Coach Jenkins and I have to say I’ve liked every coach we’ve had but 1. Coach McClanahan is building a great culture and I’m glad to be a small piece of it.
