Little action to watch during the falcons tourney run. Sophomore Myles Montgomery around 60 points away from hitting 1000 in his career.

That's awesome. His work ethic is second to none. Great youngman. Wish him the best.

Is he on track to beat the schools all time record?

I would say yes. Record is held by Steve Yeagle with 1518.

I would say shatter it. He'll probably break the school record next season as a Jr.

Amazing young man, hard worker, great family.

I'm looking forward to him getting his first district win tonight. I think Minford will put together quite a tournament run this year and the next 2 seasons with him at the helm.

She may have, I was just going by what is on Minford's website.

For some reason their website does not have anything on the Girls Basketball records tab but its under the 1,000 point club tab.

Gotcha, I see that now. So 1629 would be the record and still within reach.

I see 2100-2200 in his future. Barring injuries of course.

If Kayser keeps getting better as I think he will. Montgomery may not get there. I know I wouldn't bet against him not hitting 2000.

Agreed… 1,000 in 40 something games already. Should make it there knock on wood.

Thought about this as well, he'll get the Minford record for sure but with Kayser improving more and more he's going to be a major contributor scoring as well. Montgomery ppg will probably go down not by a lot but he won't need to put up some of the numbers he has. Going to be a fun team to watch over the next 2-3 years.

I agree about Kayser. The kid is definitely shining right now. With him improving and outbursts of scoring each game, he will continue to be a huge contributor to the scoring column. It would be great to see multiple kids off of that Minford team hit 1000 by their senior year. They play so well together. Hopefully they can keep it positive and continue to share the ball. I look for Montgomery to hit 1000 against North Adams. This team should be a lot of fun over the next few years. Two kids have big shoes to fill with the Falcons losing Hannah and Crank.
