Oak Hill 40
New Boston Glenwood 38

The Tigers were defeated tonight in Oak Hill in a hard fought game.

Oak Hill led the entire game with scoring as follows. The Oaks led 12-4 after one, 20-18 at the half, 31-27 after three and the final 40-38.

Oak Hill also won the JV contest 44-24.

New Boston drops to 6-3, while the Oaks move to 3-4.

The Tigers are on the road next week at Notre Dame on 1/3 and at Ironton St.Joe 1/6.

The Oaks go to Valley 1/3 and host Waverly 1/6.

Notre Dame 73
New Boston Glenwood 31

The New Boston Tigers made the short jaunt down on Sunrise Hill to face the Titans last evening.

Notre Dame jumped out to a 17-4 first quarter lead and did not look back. The Titans led at the half 31-17, 50-26 after three and the final 73-31.

The Titans also won the JV game 62-47. NB drops to 3-6 overall.

The Varsity Tigers drop to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in SOC1 play. Notre Dame improves to 7-2 and 4-0.

New Boston next goes to Ironton to play Ironton St. Joe in the Flyer Dome on 1-6. Notre Dame travels up to the Furnace to meet the league leading Green Bobcats that same day.

The game was played at a cold Flyer Dome "Hangar" in Ironton, home of the Flyers. The Tigers came out firing in the first two quarters taking the lead at halftime 27-16. The Flyers came out in the third and outscored the Tigers 27-11 to take the lead after three at 43-38. The final quarter was hotly contested with St.Joe holding on to the victory.

Ironton St.Joe moves to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in league play. New Boston slips to 6-5 and 3-3.

The Flyers also won the JV contest 49-19. NB falls to 3-7.

Next up for New Boston is 1/10 as they host the league leading Green Bobcats, home with the Sciotoville Tartans on 1/13 and travel down to Adams County to meet the Peebles Indians in a nonleague affair on 1/14.

Ironton St.Joe goes to the Notre Dame Titans on 1/10 and host the Symmes Valley Vikings on 1/13.

The Tigers and Bobcats met tonight in New Boston's "Den" with the Bobcats pulling out the win in a hard fought tilt. The game was tied at 37 with 5:08 to go in the 4th.

Green led at all stops: 13-6 after one, 22-19 at the half, 35-32 after three and the final 49-40.

New Boston won the JV game 47-34.

The Bobcats improve to 10-3 overall and remain perfect in the SOC1 at 7-0. The Tigers drop to 6-6 and 3-4.

Next up for Green is a home date with the Western Indians on 1/13. New Boston has the Sciotoville Tartans at home on 1/13 and travel down to Adams County to face the Peebles Indians on 1/14.

The Tigers put an end to their 4 game losing skid with the victory over the Tartans in New Boston.

New Boston led 17-11 after one, 27-16 at the half, 39-24 after three and the final 54-40.

The Tigers won the JV game. Score after one was 16-13, at the half 29-22, after three 45-28 and the final 52-45. Tiger JV record is 5-7.

The varsity Tigers improved their record to 7-6 overall and 4-4 in league play. The Tartans drop to 3-11 and 1-7.

New Boston hits the road tomorrow down in Peebles to face the Indians. Sciotoville's next game is 1/17 as they host the league leading Green Bobcats.

New Boston Glenwood 23

The trip down to Adams County to play the Peebles Indians ended in defeat. Peebles led 14-7 after one, 28-18 at the half, 44-19 after three and the final 54-23.

The Indians JV also defeated the Tigers 41-19. New Boston JV go to 5-8 on the season.

The varsity Tigers drop to 7-7 and are 4-4 in SOC1. The Indians improve to 7-8 on the season and are 2-5 in the SHAC.

New Boston goes to Clay on 1/17 and host Symmes Valley 1/20. Peebles plays Eastern Brown 1/17 and welcome Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington on 1/20.

Panthers 34

The New Boston Glenwood Tigers jumped out to a 19-5 lead in the first quarter, 32-21 at the half, 43-23 after three and the final 55-34.

The Tigers also won the JV contest 40-27. Clay held the lead at the half. NB outscored the Panthers 25-5 in the third to put the game away.

New Boston improves their record to 8-7 and 5-4 in league play. Clay is 0-14, 0-8.

The Tigers are at home with the Symmes Valley Vikings on 1/20 and welcome the Rock Hill Redmen on 1/21 in a non conference make up game. Clay is at Green on 1/20.

Symmes Valley 47

Coach Cox and staff recorded their 100th win.

Tigers rally from 18 points down entering the final quarter outscoring the Vikings 28-6 to pull out the victory.

Scoring by quarters: Vikings 14-7 after one, 26-88 at the half, 41-23 after three.

The Jv contest went to the Vikings in overtime 37-34.

New Boston goes to 9-7 overall and 6-4 in SOC1. The Vikings fall to 6-8, 4-6.

The Tigers welcome the Rock Hill Redmen tomorrow 1/26, travel up to Latham on 1/24 to face the Western Indians and close next week hosting the Notre Dame Titans 1/27.

Symmes Valley has West at home 1/21, at Green 1/24 and host Western 1/28.

Non conference foe Division III Rock Hill, 5-8 and 1-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference defeated the Tigers in the Den tonight.

The Redmen lead at each quarter stop: 16-10 after one, 28-22 at the half, 47-31 after three and the final 63-45.

Rock Hill also won the JV contest 62-27. New Boston JV is now 6-10.

The Rock Hill varsity improve their record to 6-8 on the year. The Tigers drop to 9-8.

Next up for New Boston is 1/24 at Western to face the Indians and on 1/27 host the Notre Dame Titans. Both games are conference games.

The Tigers went into "Latham against the World" and were defeated last evening. The game was tied at 27 early in the final quarter. Scoring by quarters: Western 11-8 after one, tied at 17 at the half, 26-24 Western after three and the final 45-31.

The JV contest went to the homestanding Indians also. A foul on the Tigers was called with 1 tick of the clock left with game tied at 32 giving the Indians the opportunity to put the game away with the free throws. Scoring by quarters: After one 9-8 Indians, at the half 15-11 Tigers, after three 27-24 Indians and the final 33-32 Indians. Levi Cooper led the Tigers with 14 followed by Colt Maynard with 11. Tiger JV stand at 6-11.

New Boston varsity slips to 9-9 overall and 6-5 in league play. Western goes to 9-8 and 6-4.

Next up for the Tigers: 1/27 Homecoming with the Notre Dame Titans, 1/31 the St.Joe Flyers come to town, 2/3 at Franklin Furnace to meet the league leading Green Bobcats and close out the regular season with the Minford Falcons on 2/4.

Western is at Symmes Valley 1/28, host Clay 1/31 and welcome Manchester 2/4.
