The Athens County game of the week returns Friday on power 105 with the Federal Hocking Lancers welcome the undefeated Trimble Tomcats to McInturf Gymnasium in Stewart. It will serve as the first defacto TVC-Hocking championship game as the two teams will meet again Tuesday in Glouster. The Tomcats (17-0),(10-0) are riding a 17-game winning streak while Federal Hocking (16-3),(10-0) hasn't lost since back on Dec. 18th to Fairland in the Alley Classic. Friday's game can be heard live on 105.5FM or wxtq.com with tip-off scheduled for 7:30.

Looking forward to a great game tonight between obviously quality TEAMS ... the only eyes on game I have reference to for FH is their loss to Fairland @ Alexander's Spartan "The Alley Classic" in which Fed Hock lost 38-81 to the Dragons ... that one clouds my mind on the Lancers - they ARE a better team than that sitting at 16-3 on the season ... I understand that FH has a transfer? looking to see how he fits in to the FH TEAM ... and as always when I need a fix of fundamental/text book basketball - I get out and see Coach Howie's Tomcats ... two excellent TEAMS, two quality Coaches ... heck I just reread what 93dog posted - Trimble entertains the Lancers at home next week (Tuesday night) !!! going to be fun to compare tonight's game with Tuesday night's game - look for adjustments ... JV & Varsity only tonight at Fed Hock, tip off at 6pm for the jv ... going to need to get there early for a parking spot ... Senior Night too !!! good stuff ... high school hoops Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... Kerby Seeger, the FH AD has pfloyd at the same table with 93bulldog & the radio guys - who knows what kind of napkin stats we'll come up with tonight LOL ...

Game of the year for sure.
Everyone outside of our immediate area doubting Fed Hock saying their record is a by product of a weak league is dead wrong. They are a very good basketball team. I would not be shocked to see a 3rd match-up take place in Wellston in a few weeks.
