When I was doing my research for my site, I found some schedules with stupid amounts of games in a short timespan in the 70’s and early 80’s
This schedule is due to illness at least and not intentionally set up like they used to be

Actually, Beeler had 18 in just the 4th quarter and OT.

We played those 7 games in 12 days (last two weeks of the season) due to blizzard that year. I"m sure others did too.
