I looked back to the Valley loss against Piketon last year at the Convo. In that game Valley shot really poorly (33% as reported) and Dunn was not a factor. With another year of experience behind them and basically the same team, they will have to make sure both of those change this year. I expect Valley to use Dunn early and often and that will open up their outside game, but they have to hit the shots. Coal Grove has squeaked by their first 2 games winning by a total of 5 pts. and seems to struggle to score. Valley should win this one by 15+ and move on to the district final.

Valley 66
C. Grove 59

A lot of people thought the West Union game would be close, and it never was....If the Indians play like they did in the Sectional final, they WILL be very hard to beat.

Side note: Does anyone know of a link where I can listen to all the games on 3/2? I'll be working on a project all day so I'd like to listen to some good hoops throughout the day

Do WORK and ROLL TRIBE!
I haven't seen Cole Grove play this year but if their guards can't handle the press it will be a LONG night for them.

Valley's ONLY 2 losses were to two talented D2's Warren and Athens - end of conversation ... Coal Grove is very athletic BUT the overall talent level is on the side of Chris Flowers, Bryan Rolfe, Jordan West, Hayden Dunn, Ryan Brown, Ethan Holbrook, Zach Shope - Lucasville Valley ... too many Indians for the Hornets to handle ... Valley survives and advances ...

I would like to wish Connor Markins and his Coal Grove Hornets the very best. Quite a feat to make it this far. Someone looking down is very proud of you not just for your playing abilities but for the example you show to the younger kids. Good luck and continued success. Go Hornets!

It is going to be 15 days between games for these two teams. I doubt this game will be a thing of beauty.

15 days or a month it won't matter. Valley big.
Playing Portsmouth without any rest and very little prep will be more difficult if they win.
SOC.

There's always that venue where a team doesn't play well. Could the Convo be the one for Valley. Maybe little David(Coal Grove) might just pull one off against the giant Galiath(Valley) simply because they were looking ahead. Stay tuned!

I don't think any teams look ahead.

To beat valley you make them shoot outside shots, make their bigs think they are outside shooters. Slow pace . When valley goes inside, especially Dunn then they are tough!!
