D-IV REGIONAL - River v. Youngs. Christian (at Canton)

Post by surfsider »

River back in the Regionals, but this time instead of the Convo the Pilots head to Canton Civic Center.
Don't know much about Youngstown Christian, but they came out of their District at the #8 seed.
Pilots knocked out 2-time defending state champ Hiland in OT to win District.
Good luck River!

Good luck to the Pilots. I can remember a little school in the county back in the 80's that was never given a chance at Canton verses Wellsville either, but somehow they found a way to STATE. We ARE RIVER!!!!!!!

The good news is River avoided VASJ (for now at least). River can win this game and might even be considered the favorite. Good luck to the Pilots!

Play a controlled tempo and we will control the game.

Saw where Youngstown Christian's coach is a former NBA player for Phoenix Suns. Thing is, I never heard of him and I usually know NBA, LOL.

Hope River can put together another strong effort and get a 'W' at Canton.

on a side note: Avoid the Pro Football HOF, most boring place I've ever seen.

Goodluck to the Pilots. Keep Monroe County and the PVC alive. Speaking of Monroe County, any of you read the Beacon (only way I can find out if SteelyDan has been doing any criminal activities)? I just got mine down here today, was reading the article on Coach Circosta, and it said article continued on page 6. I must be losing my mind, I couldn't find the story on page 6 or anywhere in the paper. Anyone else have this problem?

Best wishes from Athens. We had a great game together at Marietta college earlier.

Best of luck to all-Ohioan Brett Price at the next level. Quite a career for the Pilots' 6-1 guard.

Don't know much about River's jayvees but if they work hard over the summer good things happen.

Hey now! I resemble that remark, Northernlight! If you are relying upon the Beacon to keep up with my mischief, you are so 27 days ago......... All kidding aside, congratulations to the Pilots on making it this far, that is quite an accomplishment! Chin up, you have nothing to hang your heads about. Fantastic season.

NL - We will catch up soon. I owed you a response from your very nice Holiday wishes, and I will own up as to my delay. Sorry 'bout that.

Congrats again to the River Pilots, great season.
