Thx for the info, 93. i think i'm probably the only MT fan on this site lol. the size matchups look pretty even but i can't compare the teams since i haven't seen Athens play. i can only say that if my Panthers play to their potential and don't have lapses during the game (like they tend to do by turning it over in bunches and not being patient offensively) they can be pretty good.

Athens better play a better first half then what they did against Chillicothe.

After watching both teams, I'd have to favor Athens. I also thought, however, that LE would beat Trace, so what do I know? :122249

After listening to the Warren/Unioto game tonight, i'm feeling a little more confidence in my Panthers because Unioto hung tough vs a team that everyone thinks is one of the top 2 teams in the SE along w/ Ironton while MT beat Unioto by 16 on Feb 9th and it was never really close. Unioto made a couple runs but MT always had an answer. unless we beat ourselves vs Athens, i think we may be able to pull out a win.

MT appears to have several that can score which makes for a very good game. I am also not so sure the SE is tough because I was not impressed with Unioto and they seemed to give everybody's best D-2 team a tough game.. Toss up...

did clinton massie win the scol? they got destroyed in the dayton sectional. 4 of the states top 10 teams were in the same sectional.

... it's the D2 District Finals - it will be a great game between 2 deserving teams ... imo the Athens' youngsters got through their "deer in the headlights" moment vs Chillicothe ... the youngins' Saltzman/Watson/Leuhrman "squared"/Burrow realized "and none too soon" that the rims in the Convo are just like at McAfee - 10 foot rims, that if you can drive into the paint in McAfee you CAN DO the same at the Convo ... I'm sure we will see a MORE confident Bulldogs TEAM come Thursday evening in the opening game of D2 District final action ... should be a dandy!
