I think this could be the best game in the D-4 SE District Semifinals. I'll take Southern, by 7. I think the game will go to the wire with Southern knocking down late free-throws to make the final margin larger than the margin that the rest of the game will be played at. However, if Combs goes off, it could easily go the other way in favor of the Hounds.

Well said Jesco, should be a really good game...Manchester may be better off if they're playing from behind since they have that 10 second shot clock mentality in any situation. Really frustrating watching them be up 8 or 10 with a minute to go and still shooting the ball!! With that off my chest I'm gonna say the Manchester seniors aren't ready to end their career on Tuesday night and come away with the W in a close one. Get your popcorn ready!

Gonna go with Coach Caldwell in this one. He's been here many times before and has a really nice ball club. I think it will be close though, especially if Manchester shoots the 3 ball well. Which they are very capable of. Should be a really, really good game!!

Gonna have to say the hounds win a close one as long as they make their fouls shots and close out on #4,14,& 10. Those are the shooters.Hounds by 9

Manchester fans ... here is some Southern info ... http://trivalleyconference.com/Southern.html

Now ... I had to jump off the Tornadoes bandwagon for a bit so I could focus on the other TVC teams ... I knew Southern would be one of the few teams left in the TVC once it got down to crunch time ... So if Tornado fans don't mind - just drive the bandwagon by my house Tuesday and pick me up!

The SOC coaches screwed D4 with their mission to make sure they get an SOC team a district championship. You have #1 seed Southern playing last year 's district champion Manchester with the winner being rewarded with more than likely having to play South Webster. While #2 Eastern Pike gets to play an 8-10 East team and set up an all SOC district championship with ND. IMO the SOC coaches are a joke for not giving SEO the best chance to be represented. That being said I am going to take Southern in a close one. I have said since the start of the season that I thought it would come down to Southern, South Webster or Manchester, it is a shame they all got stuck in the same bracket.

Sometimes, I think it might be better to have a few tough games when a team is attempting to make a long tourny run. Obviously, this wont be the case for Notre Dame/Eastern as they both should be 10+ pt favorites for their district semi games. Maybe this tougher road to the Regional for SW/Southern/Manchester will force them to learn to play at a higher level and actually help them when they do get to the Regionals?

Southern has 7 seniors on their team. How many does Manchester have? I will take Southern and their 7 seniors in this one.

Manchester has three starters with two years of regional tourny experience. I also believe that the competition that they have played this year has been much tougher than Southerns. Manchester by four.

Manchester should win this one if they play a decent game.

... Southern has had to battle the "committee of one - me" all year to gain respect in the Elite 8 ... Southern is ranked in the Elite 8 for a reason - the boyz have game led by senior Andrew Roseberry, quality coaching court side in Coach Caldwell , the Tornadoes hold their opponents under 50 per game defensively ... the Ouija Board says take Southern to carry the torch for the TVC ... Southern +3 ...
