Lots of new teams on the Buckeye schedule next year.
10 League Games and 10 Nonleague Games.
Highlights of the Nonleague Games.........
The return of the Logan Chieftans to the schedule. NY has not played Logan in the past few years. The Chieftans travel to Nelsonville on 1/11/11.
Amanda Clearcreek remains on the schedule.
Lancaster Fisher Catholic is a new pickup.
Road trip to New Lexington. NY and New Lex should play each other more in sports than they do since they are so close geographically to each other.
The biggest change to the schedule - the lack of TVC Hocking teams on the schedule! Since the Hocking is now so large, those teams don't have many non-league games to play now. NY plays a total of two TVC Games, both county rivals, which I believe is the fewest games ever played against the Hocking since the creation of the Ohio and Hocking Divisions. NY will host Trimble and travel to Federal Hocking. The new Hocking means only one game against Trimble instead of the home-and-home non-league series.
A new home-and-home non-league series with River Valley. Raiders to the TVC soon?
And finally, the Ohio River City Shoot-Out at Marietta College. I'm assuming NY will play two teams at this event, since NY would only have 19 games otherwise. Do we know what other teams will be in this Shoot-Out?
If the Shoot-Out is a one game event, then NY will add one more non-league game to the schedule to round it out at 20.

The Wendy's Ohio River Classic is held by the Alexander Hoops Committee at Marietta College. This will be the third classic. The day will consist of four boys and three girls games with each squad playing one game. The teams have been selected and hopefully within the next week, we will develop a schedule.
The event has been well received because of the bleachers out at floor level which gives it a nice high school atmosphere.

The Buckeyes will play Huntington Ross at the Convo on 12/11 in the Hoops classic.

Thanks. I updated the schedule. Full 20 game slate now. Now we just need to know who we will be playing at Marietta College in January.

Nelsonville-York will play at Wellston on Tues. Dec. 14th not Wed. Dec. 15th. according to the schedule released by the Wellston athletic dept for next season.
