I think Southeastern and ZT are going to the Athens High School sectional.
That would make Piketon ,Peebles, and Portsmouth the early favorites in Waverly.
I have no idea about the Jackson sectional. Probably Wheelersburg,Oak Hill,Ironton and the Peake.

From my understanding Portsmouth is now back in the Jackson sectional, which I figure to be stronger than the Waverly sectional this year.

I also found out yesterday that there are 3 sectionals in D3, with Waverly, Jackson, and I believe Athens being the third site.......each sectional has 11 teams. Northwest is going to the Waverly sectional, while schools like Belpre, Alexander, and Meigs will be going to Athens.

Chesapeake, Dawson Bryant, Ironton, Minford, Oak Hill, Portsmouth, Portsmouth West, Rock Hill, South Point, Valley, Wheelersburg.

Wow, what a doozy of a sectional! 4 winners coming out of here will be tested early! Peake, Valley and Portsmouth are solid. Oak Hill and Ironton will be good. Peake and Burg will be very good. Dont know much about Minford or South Point or Coal Grove or the others.

Four winners from each D-III sectional go to districts. Two from D-II get to go to districts.

In division 3, this is gonna result in some really awful district games when the athens winners have to play the other two (much stronger) sectional winners.

How are each schools' sectional sites determined annually? Do they draw or are they assigned?.......... I do not understand how 3 or 4 potential 1 seeds could be placed in the same sectional.......
