a team with a losing record could very easily make it to the district. maybe more than one.

It looks like 4 advance from Valley and 4 from Wellston. The District starts March 9th at OU.

There are only three teams with winning records in the Wellston Sectional. Oak Hill, Waterford and Southern.

Very wide open..........although I think Western will be a lock to the Convo,I don't know about Whiteoak have'nt seen them, they only have a 2-4 record but they play a tough schedule. Also look out for Notre Dame(didnt think id say that before season).

Well Manchester is 4-5 with there loses coming to Ironton, Rose Hill, Washington Court House, North Adams and Peebles. So I would have to say they should be one of the favorites to make it out also...

Who ever makes it out of this Sectional will not make it past one game (maybe one but no way they advance out of the Districts) in the convo....They will meet someone like Oak Hill or Waterford and that means that their season is over....

the top seeds in this sectional are going to be

Latham Western Pike 5-2
Sciotoville Community East 4-2
Leesburg Fairfield 5-3
Portsmouth Notre Dame 4-3
Manchester 4-5

Now the big suprise will be whether Notre Dame stays up there or if teams start to figure them out.

i'll take that bet and go you one more. if they do make it to the regionals i'll go double or nothing that they don't get to the final four. at the regionals they will run into other schools who recruit and they may be better at it than oak hill.

I don't think they can beat WC....so nope on the regional bet.

Stop trying to think like a coach sparky. Oak Hill is not losing in the sectional or district.

I think Southern is the most dangerous team to them...but BARRING injury to Ondera, Oak Hill is a regional representative for the SE district.

I believe Manchester is the strongest team in this sectional.

I know Manchester has played Ironton and Washington Court House in their non-conference schedule.......don't know the other teams NC schedule, but those are some good NC tests for a D4 team.

Trojan Dave- They lost to Rose Hill, Ky at Rose Hill so you know how physical that game must have been playing over there. They have also lost to Peebles and North Adams, two of the better teams in Div. 3. I think their NC schedule of tough teams will pay off for them. It will be interesting to see what seed they will get at the draw when it comes, being that they should have only lost to the better div 3 teams. They play Peebles and North Adams again.

manchester should get the number one seed, but many times the vote is based too much on overall records. but they still might have the second best record in a very weak sectional.
western may end up with the best record but they play in a weak league and don't have a real strong non league schedule.

Don't know if you could go that far to give them a #1 seed.Manchester is a good ball club but Western is 5-2 with only losses being 7-2 Valley(beat Oak Hill)and 8-1 Piketon.
