Eastern vs. Southern II

Post by Fonzie »

The other topic was filled up with trash so I thought I would give it another try.

My guess is that it will be a close game until the midpoint of the 3rd period then Southern will pull away with it. I would guess that Southern will win this one by 10-15 points. Should be a good game though!

Southern was the Meigs county champ last year, how long had it been since that happened?

Well being the first game of the year I think it will go like this:
1st period- is when the guys on the floor will get rid of the jitters
2nd period- is when things will get into a fast pace game
3rd period- is when Southern will gain their composer and will start firing on all cylinders
4th period- is when Southern will continue there gameplay but will have to deal with a comeback from Howie's always scrappy team.

I think Southern by 15-20.
Southern should be healthy, Eastern will not. Lynch is out, Winebrinner status is up in the air

If this game is fast paced then Eastern will run Southern out of the gym, too fast, too many shooters for Southern to handle

class of 86 looking at your posts you have Eastern winning the league in boys basketball, girls basketball, football, baseball and golf. I guess there is nothing wrong with supporting your school. But do you really think they are going to win in all these sports. I guess by picking them to win in everything gives you better odds. I hear if it is fast paced Southern will run Eastern out of the gym. We will find out on Dec 5.

Maximus, glad you started another thread.

I call for a close game, but SHS will prevail.

Eastern didnt run any plays and had subs in most of the game while Meigs had their starters in virtually the whole game, i dont think you can go by these scrimmages

I agree that you cant look to far into scrimmages and previews. The only time I will look to previews or scrimmages to see how the season will go is if the team has a new young coach. Because usually thats when a new coach will try to see what his team is capable of on the floor in game sitution.

I also think Southern will win this game after seeing them. Eastern will compete and dont count them out, but with the game being at Southern i have to give them the edge, too much inside out game for the Eagles to handle
