The Monroe Central - River game was ugly. MC has one scorer, and only one, in Howell. They played hard, but just don't have the players this year. It's only going to get worse next year, as there is no one on the JV team coming up.

River shot the ball terrible last night or that was a 20 point blowout. MC is just that limited offensively.

I guess I need to see Caldwell, but I don't see anyone else coming close to FF at this point.

Something is missing this year. Seems nobody is excited.

I think that it is the perception of the league being down. I strongly feel that after seeing 4 teams in the league play that it's a 2 horse race in the league Fort Frye and Caldwell. I have yet to see Monroe central or frontier so it may be a bit premature but Caldwell plays both in the next 5 days. Will make the game against frontier but will just have to get updates on the Monroe game. Anderson vs Clark will be a great matchup to watch in January.

MC is pretty good even though Hooper is not playing. I say MC will beat Caldwell Tuesday night by Atleast 10 points. The best player on the court will be Howell. Ave. over 25 pts a game.

Monroe will be a decent team. 3rd place in the PVC just like football. Nothing to hang your head about. ;)

Fort Frye is head and shoulders above everyone else. Fort will go undefeated in the league with everyone else splitting for the most part. Shenandoah could be a sleeper as they get some experience and have a good coach in place.

Howell is a very good player, but he can't do it by himself. He had 26 points against River but shot something like 18 3's. Any team can guard one person. They are going to need other players to step up if they plan on beating better teams.

As for the league, I'm on record that I think it is down and that FF is likely the team to beat, if by nothing else than default.

If Justin Anderson has off night Cadets are very beatable they are missing a lot in Legraen. I still think they can beat anyone if they get hot. I think they lose once to Caldwell.

Caldwell was up 24 late until they cleared the bench. Frontier had the right game plan playing zone but Caldwell has 5 guys that can knock down the 3. Clark always seemed to make a play earlier in the game when frontier made a run with his penetration. Frontiers best offense was cherry picking that worked well in the first half as Caldwell crashes the boards hard which frontier used against them. Camino and a few others were knocking down shots but got nothing going inside. Caldwells pressure defense seemed to get the best of frontier and got them rattled.
Still have not seen Monroe play and won't for awhile but I rank the PVC:
1)Fort Frye
2)Caldwell
3)Monroe Central
4)Buckeye Trail
5)Frontier
6)Shenandoah

MC over Caldwell tomorrow night. Howell should go off with a big night of scoring. I see were Caldwell graduated 7 seniors last year and JVs handled theirs pretty easy last year.

Big game early with both PVC and OVAC ramifications.

Common opponent early on was Frontier which Caldwell handled easily at home, and MC won in a close one at Frontier.

I haven't seen Caldwell yet, but I did pick them to finish 2nd. Close game tomorrow, and I'll guess MC simply because they are at home, and Caldwell wins when they go back to Caldwell.
