I heard a Webster coach got handsy with an Oak Hill player. Not a good look but I’m just going off of word of mouth so idk.

Maybe if the kid wasn’t shoving Roberts into the ground on the ground after we called a timeout. You wanna buck we gonna knuck

I didn’t hear that part, interesting. I’ll have to find a way to watch film of the game it sounded intense

Haven’t been to a game that intense since the 2004-2007 years at the old burg gym. After the scuffle and the benches clearing the tech was on oak hill if that tells you who started it. Police blocked the door on Webster’s side and made us exit out the other side of the gym.

Peebles hit 3 3’s in last 30 seconds I was told

Yeah, 4-5 points most of second half .Midway in 4th Peebles started getting aggressive and fouled too much and the one they were fouling was Ashbaugh. 4 minutes left Whiteoak went into stall. Again Ashbaugh seemed to go to the line every time. Lead got up to 10 or 11. Peebles got aggressive, got a steal and hit 3 threes ,2 off turnovers and 1off steal. With 16 seconds left Whiteoak inbounded the ball and Whiteoak threw it away. Peebles got another good look and missed but got the rebound and missed again clock ran out. Good game. It always is between these two teams. Good game to get both ready for tournament. Good luck Wildcat and the Indians in the one and done.

This is the first time I can ever remember Peebles losing 9 home games in a season. I will have to check. I guess we are road warriors this year. Come on tournament.

It was a close game for most of the first half but they were completely outmatched inside. Sallee and Taylor combined for almost 50 and Stadelman had 9 I think. #1 was a nice player for Cambridge who scored their first 10-12 points but overall it was not good. Not sure of the final number but the press really bothered the bobcats and they had quite a few turnovers, maybe JC can provide us how many. Now on to a payback game against New Lex next Friday!

Portsmouth's 83-70 win over Coal Grove gave the school its 85th season of at least 10 wins. The 10-10 regular season record ended a streak of 3 straight losing regular seasons. It was the first .500 regular season record since the 1975 team went 9-9. This team was one of the higher scoring teams of the last decade, scoring at 65.95 PPG, while giving up 63.45 PPG.

Daryionne Bryant had his highest scoring game as a Trojan, scoring 34 points vs. the Hornets. For CG, freshman Owen Johnson was outstanding, tossing in 29 points. He will be one of the OVC's best players in 2022-23. Counting all of Portsmouth's returnees for next season, they combined for 44 points against CG to go along with 47 scored vs. Ironton.

Bryant's 34 points was the highest for a Trojan since Matthew Fraulini scored a school record 46 points vs. Rock Hill in 2019, and is the 2nd highest total since Jayllen Carter's 44 points vs. Jackson in 2012.
