New Boston will still have Jackson and younger Voiers next year, so talent not completely dried up, and will be able to compete in SOC I. But unless there's another Kyle Sexton in the pipeline (and right now, there isn't), they definitely gonna take a dive. Still been a heck of a run for New Boston over last 4 years.*

Lol I know what you meant but math is taking a hard hit the way you said it.

Safe to say no program has a bigger gap between varsity talent and JV than NB....and East might have the smallest of gaps.

Be interesting to see which program wins more at the varsity level over the next 3-5 years
The New Boston JV consists of mostly freshmen. All are getting to play some Varsity also and seem to do better with the Varsity. Only time will tell if there is improvement over the next couple of years. Also, all of East JV completed their Varsity roster with the exception of a couple of kids.

Do you happen to have Clay’s Scoring ? Specifically Gavin Cayton?

Very good team with talented players. However, keeping the press on when up 40 in the 3rd quarter will come back to haunt you at some point.

Doubtful. He’ll either get top players from somewhere or move on. He won’t be there for the beatings.

12-29

South Point Pointers 65
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 44

The Tigers took to the road to Lawrence County to face the Division III South Point Pointers in a non league affair. South Point had only played one game and that was a loss to Portsmouth. The Pointers came out firing and defeated the Tigers soundly. South Point has a very good young team. The Tigers got behind early and could not recover. SP led at all stops: 17-7 after one, 30-16 at the half, 44-33 after three and the final 65-44.

Kyle Sexton led the Tigers with 13, De'Von Jones 11, Chase Clark 9,Grady Jackson 7, Kage Truitt and Luke Henson with 2 each.

The South Point JV won 59-18. JV Tigers fall to 1-6 overall. Four of the six losses have been to Division III schools.

The Varsity Tigers suffered their first loss of the season, now stand at 7-1 overall. South Point evens their record at 1-1.

Next up for the Tigers 3-0 in conference play, is tomorrow evening as they host the Notre Dame Titans 2-0, 1-0. South Point goes to the Gallia Academy Blue Devils tomorrow evening.

Webb did NOT play, after SP lost to Portsmouth, Portsmouth turned around and got smacked by Fairland and Chesapeake. This wasn’t a good loss for NB. Great game plan and execution by SP!
