Holden will probably move in the 2nd place but will not catch Burleson. Staker and Walke would be much higher had the three point shot been around back then. Those two could shoot the lights out.Burg Bias wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 9:32 pmAndrew Stegman: class of 2011 also scored over 1000 points. Also, the guys listed in the late 80's, early 90's only had 20 regular season games and now players have 22 regular season games. It doesn't sound like much, but if you are a 3 year starter that averages only 20 points per game, they already have 120 more points than those who came before them. I can't believe Burg has never kept track. Just curious, how were the stats found? No one before the 80's score 1000?yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:47 pmHolden will probably move in the 2nd place but will not catch Burleson. I did not know Ridge Young had almost 1800 points. Coach Stiversons had some very good talent at LE. The top 4 played for him?
Would think that Bays, Rase, Thomas would have had 1000. IIRC, Rase and Thomas had 40+ games and a bunch in the 30's.sticks wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 11:04 pmAlso, the guys listed in the late 80's, early 90's only had 20 regular season games and now players have 22 regular season games. JV team and freshmen team points do not count only points while playing varsity countsChieftain2009 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 6:58 pmYeah, still counts!4thgoal wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 3:54 pmI think they should count. Maybe an asterisk beside it with the consolidation note, but 1,000 is 1,000Raider6309 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 2:01 pm The weird thing for points, do you count pre consolidation stats? Athens careers leader should be Roger Bentley but he played 3 years at Chauncey and 1 at Athens
Correct. But, the question that was asked was do points count from a high school before the schools were consolidated.Burgfan/grad85 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 12:33 pmJV team and freshmen team points do not count only points while playing varsity counts

Someone posted earlier that John Williams also scored over 1000 pts, he may have but I wasn't given that name. It was also mentioned that Ryan Borden may have scored over 1000 pts. I was told that he was just a little short.
You very well could be right. My friend went to the OH-Wellston game tonight, and called and gave me the score of the game. He also wrote the names down that were on the banner, I wouldn't have thought that he would have missed 3 names, but he very well could have.3sUp wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:32 pmAlso:VetteMan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:29 pmHere is the list of Oak Hill players that was given to me:

I'm sure you're probably right. Back in the 50's, there was for sure no 3pt. shots either. I've been told that he was an outstanding player for Western Kentucky.Jason Vorhees wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:37 pm Adrian Hayes might be the top career point scorer in the SE District. 2186 points, and still holds the school record with 60 points in a single game.

Adrian Hayes has passed awayJason Vorhees wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 9:52 pm VetteMan, I think that's correct! He ended up there or at Kentucky Wesleyan. Pretty solid player there as well. Ifor he's still alive, he resides in Paducah, Kentucky. Needs his number retired at Oak Hill.
