BTW ... The 2010/2011 fact about SG is a 'trick question'.

Both Southern & SG made it to the same level in the tourney - but the Tornadoes were eliminated in the EARLY game the same night the Rebels lost ... Hence, making South Gallia the last team standing from the TVC.

It was the farthest South Gallia has ever been too so they get all the credit

Out of all 15 teams; South Gallia made it the furthest in 2010/2011 ... and 2011/2012.

(Makes for a good trivia question when discussing area hoops with other fans ... )
that won't be something to argue this year, they will struggle to win 1 game imho!

1 boy from rv,he is small, young and a decent player on offense, hope that gym is big enough for his stepdad's ego and his game?

Those boys are from GA not RV, they are decent players but aren't bringing stand out talent to the table. One wasn't eligible to play last year, the other was a third string ( yes we had 17 kids). One is a good student, the other gets in trouble often. Hopefully they can both get some playing time there and improve their games. As far as stepdad, I don't know him to judge him.

91blue14 I had to rethink a moment after your post and you are right both did play for Niday this year one with a very little time in and they other only a few mins the whole season, it was last year only one played for Harrison because the other didnt have the grades. Regardless, one gets in trouble and his grades effect his playing time, the other is a good student. And as far as the post being about RV, they said two transfers (SG didnt get two transfers from RV). So I assummed they were talking about the two from Gallia my bad smartass. The one transfer they did get from RV seems to be a great asset to the team. Good luck Rebels...

why do i have to be a smartass for after you thought your information was not correct. i would make sure i was correct before i would state something about somebodys children. since you are in the know what kind of trouble does this kid get into?

I keep hearing about these transfers but no one will say who they are and what they have did to be considered valuable players that will build and make a team. Who is going to run the team in a couple of years? I have saw not one kid that can run a team well enough to put up a good winning season at the end of the year and then a run in the tournament. I will be glad to see what a few of you are talking about but lets here some facts and information about these transfers.

Once again my information wasn't wrong I just mixed up the fact that both played this year vs last year (not that it really mattered, neither got quality playing time thats why their at SG) typical Gallia City schools for ya.
My original response was to Rebels who stated the above ^^^, and that they were from Gallia not RV as when they said "A COUPLE OF BOYS" I assumed they meant the two from Gallia as RV only had one transfer. And the other person I was responding to was Brutus is a beast, asking about the transfers. NO bashing of anyones children took place. The child has been to alternative school, so that should tell you something if you really need to know what kind of trouble he gets in. I'm done with this conversation, have a great day

And here I will re-word my original post for you ;-)

Those boys are from GA not RV, they are decent players but aren't bringing stand out talent to the table. One wasn't eligible to play in 7th grade and played minimal 8th grade, the other was a third string both years 7th and 8th ( yes we had 17 kids). One is a good student, the other gets in trouble often. Hopefully they can both get some playing time there and improve their games. As far as stepdad, I don't know him to judge him.

the greer kid is a true pg he is from rv prob 5-8 at best very poor on defense, his step dad stated the reason he was coming to sg is so he would get to play in the convo????? with the team he left behind at rv i don't know if that move was smart or not.

word was he wanted to do everything his way and didn't get along with the coaches at rv.

I have yet to see the Greer kid play but I heard from one of his teammates last week at the fair that he is good with the ball. So I hear he has handles all he needs is a good vision of the court and a pull up jumper wouldn't hurt either

I think that camp sounds like a good one to go to. Has he been to any of the Five Star camps? They are also good camps.
