This should be interesting on how the OHSAA rules on this matter. From BURG to VALLEY to IRONTON? Now what is the reason for all the transferring in such a short period of time?

Usually means they are looking for a competitive team that will do well. I don't think he wants to transfer into a place in transition.

Someone who has transferred this many times in one year only spells disaster.

I always want what's best for kids, and always will.. But I don't see any way possible this young man is going to be eligible.. Moving residences or not, he'll be lucky to step foot on the court this year unless the OHSAA botches it completely. It is a sad situation and I wish him nothing but the best.

That isn't too relevant to the situation. You can't move schools mid school year and still play within a 90 mile radius. Not to mention, this is his 3rd school in 3-4 months.

He'll be out AT LEAST half the season, if not all of it.

Waverly had a boy move in from an adjacent district, actually moved in with his grandmother to help with her, and had to sit the first half of the season.
How this young man can see the floor at Ironton would be beyond me.

Agree. 10 straight wins over the Burg would get rough.

So, did this kid really leave Valley or what is the deal?

He's talking current. Cupboards empty, but basketball is definitely a cyclical sport.

Waverly also had a boy establish a residence in Waverly, but never left Bainbridge (not Kretzer) and was eligible immediately, so life's not fair sometimes.

There's no way that this kid can be eligible for the entire year.

Kretzer enrolled at Waverly before his freshman year and lived in a bordering district. Would have been a different story had he "transferred" after he started classes at Waverly. Night and day difference between the two.

Like I said, not Kretzer. Someone from Chillicothe who played basketball for them on a Friday and was immediately eligible for baseball at Waverly, all while still living in Bainbridge.
