Let me put this way, Athens lost to Logan Elm, on a last second shot, just days removed from playing in the state championship game in football ... And guess what, it cost them that seed with the Braves. So if you think losing by 16 to Warren is somehow going to end up being Athens (2) and Warren (3) you are living in a dream world.
Raider and I must be dreamers or maybe just wishful thinkers. You are more the Realist.

20 years of watching these draws/votes take place in Logan, Vision.

Why do you think I emphasized how important that Warren game was OVER & OVER & OVER again leading up to it?

2013/2014 Athens loses very early in the season to Logan Elm by a few points, and then drops the game vs Warren on a last second shot from Michael Hall and falls to the No. 3 seed ... That was probably one of Athens' best teams in school history and ends up a 3 seed - all because of two games decided by 8 points I think it was.

2014/2015 Athens loses the game at Warren, finishes the season (20-2) with its only loses to Warren and ASVSM - and doesn't even get the No. 1 seed because of loss to Warriors.

Just a coupe of examples of how they roll in the Logan sectional. lol

It settles it. Marietta is the #1 seed. They beat Warren and have the hardest SOS by a mile

Come on Raider. (5-12) doesn't put you in the conversation to be evaluated/considered.

But ,,, the Marietta game is considered a bad loss for Warren! Unfortunately, Athens and Warren played each other with a result. Had they not, then yes, you could have used that Marietta game against them.

So basically you are saying Warren has the 2 locked up right now but if FU wins 2 games this week they will get the 2 and Warren the 3 and Athens the 4? If FU splits or loses both then FU 4 or 5 and Athens 3? So really it doesn’t matter if Warren lost to Meadowbrook?

So H2H only counts for Athens? Why not Fairfield Union over Sheridan?

Fairfield Union over Sheridan helps them versus the others and could boost them to the 2, but a 6 loss team won’t jump a 2 loss team.

Is this a serious question?

I know this is looking ahead and a lot has to happen but if Athens gets a 3 seed and wins their sectional game and Jackson gets a 2 and wins their sectional game then you have those 2 meeting up at the Convo in the District Semi-Finals. As of now I believe the Athens and Jackson makeup game is scheduled for February 16th. Food for thought.

FU with a nice win over Amanda . Sheridan gets a good win over Philo, Logan Elm with an impressive win over Hamilton Township. Vinton with a BAD loss to Trace. (Doesn’t help Athen’s cause) and the bottom 4 teams all lose. Any changes in seed predictions?

FU 40-38 over Amanda? What division are they? FU and TV may be more important. FU 12-6 right now if they lose I am thinking 4 seed and LE 5. If they win I still don’t know does 13-6 get a better seed over 13-4 Athens?

Frankly, it should be locked in after tonight. Fairfield got down 10 early tonight against Amanda and Conley made some really big shots to dig them out of the early hole. He finished with a game-high 18. Magill and Poston stepped up by combining for 14 points. Good road win for the Falcons over an Amanda team that has been playing well over the past couple of weeks.

1. Sheridan
2. Fairfield
3. Warren
4. Athens
5. Logan Elm
6. Vinton
7. Marietta
8. Circleville
9. New Lex
10. Westfall

Whoever wins the 4 vs 5 game in this sectional will have to play ZT in the district semifinal

If they lose to TV on Thursday you really think they get a 2 seed with 7 losses?

It will all come down to matchups and I feel like Stiverson will want to be the 6 seed to play the 2 seed which will be WCH or Jackson

TH222, I’m lost, I don’t understand....don’t you have to WIN your first game in the tournament before you look to far ahead and want to play WCH or Jackson? 🤦‍♂️

Yes, when you compare their schedule to Athens and they have a similar record as Warren does. If they win, it should be no contest for the two.

Won't be the first time Athens and Logan Elm locked horns with a lot on the line ...

Besides Warren, I think that Athens vs Logan Elm match-up has had the most history between them (minus league opponents).

The best being the 7 vs 2 upset by the Dogs in Logan back in 2012 ... 50-48! lol
