Minus Watkins Memorial; Logan opponents records combined 129-95; including #3 Unioto and #6 Vinton County. 2 Teams have only one loss (Vinton County to Logan; St Charles who lost to DeSales; who beat Logan as well) 2 teams with 2 losses (Warren and Fairfield Union) and 1 team with only 3 losses (Bloom Carroll). The remaining schedule has a combined 38-28 record. Very winnable games at home vs FU, Warren, Jackson and Sheridan; with road trips left at Warren and Gallia.

Yes I am bored.

IMO The Purple gang's defense will keep them in the rest of the regular seasons games . All are winnable . How ever it turns out they will play hard . Good luck to the Purple Gang !!!!!!!

Big game tonight as 10-2 Fairfield Union comes calling and former Logan head coach and longtime JV coach John Helber comes back to the Big Teepee after 20 plus years of a coaching career at Logan. Looking forward to saying hello to him and catching the game from my courtside seat. Logan looks to keep the Big MO going after three straight wins and getting to .500 finally on the season. Its Military Night as well, so alot of emotion will be filling Jim's Gym tonight. Cant wait for the Tip!!

Logan 35 FU 47. Now maybe five wins (Gallia 2, Jackson, Teays Valley, Sheridan - maybe)!

Haven't seen Sheridan this year but last year they had a pretty good guard and the Duplers were pretty good inside. They were a lot like Athens. Very physical

I walked out last night talking to a few assistants shaking my head at how we dont have a true scorer. Logan plays great team defense and they force teams to do things they dont want to do and they can defend very well. But key players keep getting into foul trouble. On top of that, they dont score alot of points consistently. You hold a team to under 45 points, you should be winning. But FU defended better last night; especially on the perimeter. They kncoked down key shots and Logan fell back into another bad shooting night and foul trouble. Little showed why he is a force but other than that, Logan got very little scoring to help him. Big game to regroup for on Friday unless weather hits the area; with Warren coming in. I am very impressed with Sam Evans, kid gets after it. Just needs to play within himself and he could be All-SEOAL. Myers couldnt get going last night and Smith had 4 fouls early in the second half so he was very limited. Gotta put the ball in the hole and Logan will be fine.

On a high note, the Chiefs were 12-13 from the FT line last night which is great!

Logan is still struggling on finishing close to the rim . That in time will change . Other teams ( coaches) realize that and move their defense out to take away the outside shots ( triples & 2s). We do have scorers if they are setup . I'm not sure we have an active true or pure scorer but I have witnessed a number of players knocking down big shots in big games . So much energy is used to play great defense and sometimes that takes away from the offense. Some cases great defense creates easy scoring opportunities . FU played very good Man defense and when we did n't have our big in that made the difference . Let's continue to root for the Purple Gang and finish strong. The future is bright for the Chiefs and they will compete and that is what makes High school Basketball great!!!! Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree completely and in no way was I knocking anyone at all or the team. Cole Baron's shot at VC was the biggest to date, Smith has played great all season but has run into some foul trouble lately; Bell has been a great player being so young and Myers has been knocking down 3's in Key moments all season as well. I just meant we dont have a guy who's going to score 20 a game night in and night out. We do have kids who can score no doubt but we have not been a good scoring team consistently.

Did not take it as you knocking anyone . I agree with you. Just my observation and it appears we just want the best for the Purple Gang. Thanks!

Logan opponents with combined 153-113 records (.580). Logan has played some tough competition that should prepare them for post season play. Jackson at home Friday with Sheridan (9-5) Saturday and two games left with Warren (14-2) and a road trip to Gallia left.

Sorry guys this kind of stuff makes a math guy like me crazy. Win percentage is (wins / total games). Using the logic above if the record was 153 -80 for example your percentage would be .5228. So noreply66 you are correct: 153/266 is a 0.575 winning percentage. Still shows they are playing pretty tough competition.
