Tigers without their Senior Floor General (Caden Nibert) fell behind 25-7 at halftime due to an 18-2 2nd period.
Waverly chipped away at in the 3rd and had it cut to 4 at 38-34 just under 4:00. Tigers scored again to cut it to 2 at 38-36 but failed on 3 trips to tie it or take the lead.
Piketon made their FT’s as the Tigers continued to come up empty as Piketon stretched back to 10 at 46-36.
Waverly hit a 3 late and Piketon ran out the remaining few seconds.

Piketon shot lights out in the first half, cooled off considerably in the second. Waverly has a very impressive group of freshmen, led by Russell (17 points.) Piketon did a much better job of handling the pressure than they have so far this season. Tigers will win some games this season as they gain experience.

Really good job by the Streaks to close the game out at the line and to put stops together down the stretch too.

#10 is Rucker. He and Lattimore both went 20+ tonight. Great win for the pirates, they’re athletic enough to make some noise this season. Can’t wait to see them vs Minford and Ironton.

Berry had no help all night. Kid is super talented.
