I'm really pumped for this one. Tigers really need to win this game for tournament confidence. I'm excited to see the Ironmen and am glad their program has really made a leap in the last couple of years. If you look at all the kids they have lost to transfers over the last several years, they could have been one of the more successful programs in the area over the last 4-5 years. I look for a fired-up Tiger team at home, and think we can pull this one off if we shoot at least 50% in the paint (has been a challenge many games). Also, these freshmen have had some battles over the last few years, so I think the JV game could be a dandy as well!

Waverly and Jackson played two great games last year. Waverly lost at Jackson at the end of the year and then beat them to knock them out of the sectional after being down big at half time. Look for more of the same tonight. Jackson struggled against waverlys pressure. Remington and Marquez swarmed Jacksons guards. Donaldson had to bring the ball up the floor. Look for that to be the case tonight. Waverly has to rebound defensively. Cannot give up second and third shots. They have to knock down free throws and make most of their shots inside 5 feet. Should be a competitive game between two teams who want to run and press.

Our JV is a jr for 2 quarters, two freshman for 2 quarters...next 3 are sophomores....then 4 more freshman will get spot play. Spires and Bragg don’t play on freshman team but all others do. Blankenship is our with injury and he plays on all 3 teams.

Will be a good matchup to get a better idea on how comparable both teams are come sectional time. I think Waverly needs to win this game more than Jackson. Not even for seeding purposes, but getting a win over probably the #2 seed in their sectional could do wonders for them as far as confidence goes. Could give them just what they need to win a couple games come tourney time. The Tiger just need to get back on track and try to put the burg game behind them. I think this one will be close. If Jackson can force Waverly to run half court sets all night and are able to defend well, I think the Ironmen win. I'd like to see Remington have a nice game offensively, think he's due. And hopefully Trey is able to get loose a few times and knock down some shots.
Will be a fun one to watch either way, expect a decent crowd for a Tuesday night game.

Good luck to our friends from Jackson and Waverly tonight. I hope it’s a great game and everyone comes out Healthy. It that’s time of year where every game is important and the results mean a little more.

More than a few of us at Unioto tonight will have an eye on this one.

Thanks Lucas. Good luck to you as well. Waverly needs to play well in a big game. That has been few and far between. Knocking down bunnies and free throws would be a good start. This should be almost like a tournament game with pretty important seeding significance either way
