Rules question?
Team A has no timeouts but just made a FG with 19 seconds left, Team B gathering ball to inbound and referee blows whistle, stops clock with 16 seconds and lets Team A check into game.
Legal? Does clock stop when FG goes through net in this instance? Thanks

I thought you had to call a TO to check in the game but don’t know that to be

Was it a close game? If not, I'd say it was just an act of courtesy by the ref.
