West got a transfer in that may win SOC Player of the Year this season. I don't know his name or where he came from, but rumors are swirling he's AAU buddies with the Davis kid. My nephew showed me a video of him and wow, kid is the real deal. Anxious to hear how he ended up at West Portsmouth.
Too bad he's not eligible. I guess they missed the part that living with the coach doesn't establish a residence
The way I understand this situation is the Davis's are his legal guardians. This is a story like the one in the movie The Blindside about Michael Oher. This benefits the youngman more than it does the West basketball team. Hope everything works out for him. Seems like a good kid just has had a rough time.

Ouch! Got a hater in the house. Not sure valley will win it but they will contend. Let's be realistic....
I'd like to know what's really going on in the west side with that "recruit" to assess the SOC

This year will be a challenge for Waverly. Not much size and lost most of their scoring from last season. But the Tiger coaching staff does a nice job and will have them ready to play and hopefully pull a few upsets.

The Waverly staff has to be excited about their future. Some really nice basketball talent coming up through the program starting with the freshman class. We will do nothing but get better over the next several years. It's going to be fun!

I was at the west-notre dame scrimmage yesterday. West played great ball the whole night. Didnt lose a quarter once. The 5 starters for west was playing great. They looked deep in bench also. I wouldn't overlook this team. Also the new student for west didn't play.

Minford should win SOC II but Coach Shoemaker is 1-7 against valley, I could see valley and Minford sharing this year.

Valley may get off to a slow start as they are still playing football, but once they get thier hoops legs, look out.

How so Lightle04? The "Orange Crush" and "Welcome to the Jungle" era was a fun time to be a part of.

I thought the Waverly community handled the situation with class and limited the drama. I for one appreciated how I was treated and actually met and formed some very good friendships that still exist to this day.
