Well after watching the Rebels a few times this summer its goin to be a long season for the boys. Not alot of size and no stand out scorers. There is some young talent though. I guess it's rebuild time, the life of small schools.

hope that I'm wrong...but I think that its going to be a long year in sports for SG!!! You're starting to see the decline of SG because they basically are becoming Hannan Trace again. The GCLSB decided to allow kids from Southwestern to attend River Valley and most do or they just drive down 141 to attend Gallia academy!!! So instead of having Hannan Trace and Southwestern combine its basically Hannan Trace again!!!

Your right. I also attended Southwestern , and it has such a huge enrollment area that kids can go to all three off the high schools in gallia county. Southwestern enrollment goes from the Lawrence county line down 775 all the way to centerville right out of Rio Grande close to the Jackson county line. There are also kids that go to Oak Hill and Jackson that are from Southwestern. So you have 5 high schools that get kids from SW.

Huh??? I watched every Jr high game last year...quite possibly the worst and worst disciplined Jr high that I've ever seen!!! Unless SG has had massive transfers in...I think the freshman group will be worse than they are right now!!! I think they only won 1 or 2 games and mist games weren't even close!!! Hope that I'm wrong!!!

I keep hearing about these transfers but no one will say who they are and what they have did to be considered valuable players that will build and make a team. Who is going to run the team in a couple of years? I have saw not one kid that can run a team well enough to put up a good winning season at the end of the year and then a run in the tournament. I will be glad to see what a few of you are talking about but lets here some facts and information about these transfers.

I never thought they would make it to the regional last year and I hope I am wrong again this time too.

I'm with Brutus on this one!!! Nobody has come up with any names....Just keep hearing rumors and I.ve heard rumors of transfers to SG for years and most of the time they never come true!!! As I said before...I hope that I'm wrong...but the only way SG sees the convo in 2 years...they'll have to buy tickets!!!

Regionals or not ... The Rebels were the LAST TEAM PLAYING from the TVC ... Two years in a row none-the-less.

Out of all 15 teams; South Gallia made it the furthest in 2010/2011 ... and 2011/2012.

(Makes for a good trivia question when discussing area hoops with other fans ... )
