Alexander won 80-68. The moved the ball and picked apart the zone. Meigs can really score the ball. The Sheets kid is very solid as is the lily kid. The lilly kids impressed me with his inside play.

Mason was on tonight hitting shots early and often. Chase Harris was awesome on the boards and was rewarded with double digits points.

The seniors held their composure when things got a little crazy late. This was a nice win for the Spartans.

Go Alex.

Not sure the "Spartans smelled the blood" but they played well and it was definitely a nice win.

Honestly, Meigs fans new going into Spartans home it would be unlikely to come out with a win. Yes officiating was horrible as always, these refs couldn't even see a kid 2 feet out of bounds. The carrying the ball calls on us (3 of them on us and 0 on them) and Alex carried the ball just as much.

I will tip my hat off to our Meigs Boys, as bad as it was, we kept it close under the circumstances.

I'm not gonna say officiating cost us the game, cause I would hate to see what our Free Throw Shots were, I'd say maybe 5 for 16.

The positives I seen from Alexander was they can be quick and they keep there composure, I'd say tonight there shooting percentage was the highest they have had all season. And you can tell they are experienced.

I don't think Alexander can go into Minford, Warren, Oak Hill or Meigs and get the Win like they do on their home court though...The only wins on the road they have is Huntington, Nelsonville-York and Jackson.

This was about what I expected

1. Vinton county
2. Alexander
3. Meigs/Athens
4. Wellston
5. Nelsonville
6. River valley

You must not know much about Meigs then, because we have done nothing in football. We are more of a Baseball School if anything.

You can probably ignore a poster with that name, lol. Even if it was a football school, you'd be silly to ignore a 12-1 basketball team.
