Ok, I’ve watched the video. I can’t argue the call after watching it over and over.
Watching it live I thought Trey was in the air first.
Trey def didn’t dip his shoulder to initiate contact as one poster commented.
It was a bang bang play with time winding down and a great play by both players. The call was a charge and you can’t argue it - just glad the orange & black Tigers prevailed in OT.
Everyone is thinking it so I’m just gonna say it. If Waverly loses your post looks nothing like this

I seem to be in the minority here but I don’t like the call. There was very minimal contact up top and the kid clearly flopped back. If he doesn’t flop and just stands there Trey probably does make some contact but it would’ve never been called. Regardless, that call should’ve never been called at that point in the game. Had it been an obvious player with his shoulder down plowing over the defender then yea but that should’ve been a no call.
I felt as if the ref predetermined he was going to call a charge just with how it was unraveling

Mlitte this Peake fan is rooting for Waverly. I agree on the the anticipation foul. See to many of these called every year.

Well…it is fun. I’ve totally practiced the hop on one leg and then bring it call and I’m not even a ref. It’s like Frank Drummond on Police Academy calling strike-outs when he was trying to protect the queen. You just can’t help yourself.

Can’t believe more coaches don’t work on this skill
They say the charge/block call is the hardest in basketball but it doesn’t look that hard. I know they can’t get it right every time but it really does seem they love calling charges the majority of the time.

OU is hosting an honor band of area local kids….my son and two friends are en route to Athens right now. I can’t imagine they will postpone but roads would be way better tomorrow…..but that’s a darn lot of phone calls to make.

Ok, that makes sense I92. The band and choir kids are the toughest of them all. My girlfriend’s daughter went to Dayton last night to watch a musical with her school choir and didn’t get home until 2:00…bus-drivers getting it done in some bad weather!
