Better question.. who took the picture and uploaded It here. I get it. It’s cocky but honestly who cares? I’m sure they were made specifically for their undefeated regular season.
They said who uploaded it. Regular season is just a warm up for what really matters honestly, if you win your conference great, but everyone pays attention to tourney time.
Ok then the question would be why? Someone took a photo of the team on the way out. I doubt it was a coach. The intentional foul was horrendous. Beyond bad. Holden did not intentionally go into the air just so he could grab the other player for fear of hitting the floor. This was a common foul.
Not nearly as bad as when they painted something on the hill in front of the school a few years back in football then went out and got embarrassed by valley for the 3rd year in a row

That's true and it will be another 30 years again before Valley wins vs the Burg

I wonder if they will wear those vs Harvest Prep

My favorite is Africentric Girls Basketball
You mean will they wear them if they get beat by harvest prep? The shooting shirt is still relevant until they get beat. I just find it strange that someone took the picture to upload here to take a jab at the players. I would get it more if it was a group of fans wearing the shirts.

Raider6309 wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2019 2:17 pm This game was Alexander was probably the better team but Holden was just so much better. Sucks he’s by himself on Burg

I liked he changed up his offense during the game. Couldn’t drive since Terry is 6’10 so he started hitting mid range shots
Sucks you have to browse threads of teams that are still alive in the postseason to make unnecessary and ignorant comments because your squad has already been bounced from postseason play. Also, no team goes 25-0 by accident or by having only one talented player. The Pirates are solid top to bottom.

I took the pic on my way up the stairs during semi-finals in case Alex & Burg both won. I shared on it Facebook in a closed group for Athens county sports. It was posted in good fun, so relax.

I did not share it on peeps, somebody else did.

The intentional foul was called by a ref who has been officiating since the early 90's. He was 5 feet away, I'm sure he had the best look at what happened.

Relax dude. You are mad that a moderator on the site took a photo and the site owner posted it on his site

That’s right...the Burg hate is now officially sanctioned here. Thankfully there are moderators who have special access so we don’t miss these opportunities to mock a successful local team. Keep it up SEOPS!

As for the Pirates, they have not been the same offensively in the playoffs. Would love to see the 3 point percentage in the regular season versus post season. Credit the team for finding other ways to get the W.

The threes will start falling. I just have a feeling...

Man, do you people really not have anything better to do but pick things to go at burg for? First it’s the Madison game, then it’s the cheer block, then it’s the technical fouls in the beginning of the season. Now it’s burg celebrating their undefeated regular season. I wonder why burg has so much spotlight on them? Success breeds hate. But hey, at least y’all are consistent

Is it true the Holden kid wore a Wright State warm up when Burg played Oak Hill? I know it's off topic, I'm just trying to verify if that is true or not.

Good luck to the Burg and all our district reps next week!

I was at that game, and "Yes" he did have some kind of a shirt or warm-up shirt on in Pre-game warm-up that said Wright State on it. I don't really remember whether it was like when the varsity comes out at half of the JV game, and kind of has a shoot around, or whether it was when they took the floor before the game. I didn't think a whole lot about it really, but at a certain time he did have a different shirt on.

It was for the entire warmup of the Varsity game.

Yeah, that would never happen on a coach Caldwell team ... or Maddox ... or I could name several more.

It caused quite the uproar on a thread from earlier in the year.

I did not see or read anything about it.
I had no interest in Wheelersburg until they played Alex on Saturday. Heard somebody talking about it at the Convo & I was wanting to make sure it was true.

These are both 6'4" guards and we all know you gotta recruit by position in college. Tanner has probably never played the 1 or 2 positions in his life. He would have to be a 3 if he played in the MAC and he's not big enough to play the 4 or 5 at that level as he's done in high school.

The intentional foul call was absolutely the correct call. Intentional fouls are not just based on "intent". They are also used for excessive and dangerous contact.

Holden did not intentionally foul Terry that hard in my opinion. But the contact was excessive so the call was made correctly.
