Tough loss for my Eagles unfortunately this one closes out hoops season for us. We tried to run and gun with a team that can put up points and came up a little short,but put forth a great effort. Hated seeing Clay Martin get into foul trouble really needed him to be on Welch for more of the game, did a good job defending him when we was. Evan Leist had a big game best I've seen him have in his young career against a r e ally good team. Ethan Leist looked good think he was close to 20 points. Eagles had 4 guys in double figures I think Miller as the other guy just come up a little short. Waterford can flat shoot they are a really good team, great game and congraulations. Hate seeing our Seniors go not just ours but the whole Soc1 and S.W, great class loaded with talent. I wish Waterford best of luck, I'd be rooting for you but the Clay Panthers are still in this thing Go SOC. Go Eagles!!

I thought this game was called markedly tighter than all the other tourney games, boys and girls, I have seen this season. Not saying it was wrongly called, but different. In fact I would prefer the games be called more tightly than they have been, but changing the manner so much from one game to another doesn't seem fair to the players.

I agree and personally prefer if players and not officials decide tournament games. I feel refs should swallow their whistle always on calls that would typically be viewed as 50-50. Anything that doesn't truly give one player an advantage over the other should not be called. Anything that's questionable should deserve no whistle. Now that's not to say that Eastern would win had the game been called different. Waterford is one of the best D4 teams that I've seen in quite some time and they should expect to have success next week because they are that good and more talented than Eastern.
