Big win at the Fort.
Way to go Cadets.
That should bring the Cougars back to Earth.

We got cheated outta the gym. They must have had that farmer guy that Waterford uses reffing the game. It was really horrible.

The fouls were even.Frontier got destroyed.I am sure it was the refs that left the players wide open.Fort Frye beats Frontier 100 out 100 times they play. The game was not even close.

Looks like more bad officiating in the area. Something needs to be done about this IMO.

Re: Fort Frye beats Frontier
BEVERLY - It didn't take long for Fort Frye to turn a much-anticipated Pioneer Valley Conference battle of unbeatens into a 78-56 rout Tuesday night.
Seniors Brandt Thieman and Jarrod Arnold combined for 53 points against shell-shocked Frontier, each showing uncanny accuracy behind the 3-point line in addition to their usual assortment of shots. Thieman converted 11-of-18 from the field with four treys and also collected 13 rebounds. Arnold, meanwhile, hit 10-of-14 baskets with five 3-pointers and a pair of circus quality layups.
Ryan Mincks came off the bench late in the first quarter to ignite a 17-0 Cadet run than spanned nine minutes - all the way up to the 2:20 mark of the second period when Frontier's Ben Huntsman converted off an assist from Darrick Kendall. When it was over, Fort Frye had secured a 32-16 advantage on the stunned Cougars.
And by the 2:10 mark of the third period, Fort Frye still maintained a 20-point lead.
Frontier head coach Roger Kirkpatrick turned to assistant coach Brad Fickiesen on the bench and whispered, "This is a good lesson for us."
"Humility does a lot for you," Kirkpatrick said later. "Coming into the game, we knew they had two shooters and Thieman and Arnold. We had to hold them down, while the other boy (Tyler Stevens) was going to drive. Their two scorers had 27 and 26, and those were the two I said we can't shoot the ball.
"Defensively, we didn't do a very good job."
Kirkpatrick also was disappointed in his team's performance, or lack of performance, on the boards. The Cadets held a 35-21 advantage in rebounds behind Thieman's glass work.
"I know there's been a lot of talk about Frontier," Fort Frye head coach Dan Liedtke said. "They have four seniors and that's a good squad right there. We have four seniors, too, and I just think this team wanted to show what we can really do when we play."
During the critical 17-0 run, Jarid Bates contributed a layup off a feed from Stevens, while Arnold sandwiched a pair of scoop shots around a fine assist to Garrett LaGraen, who handled the reverse with finesse. Thieman struck for a layup, while Arnold nailed a 3-pointer at the 3:04 mark to push the lead to 32-16.
"We played really well tonight," Thieman said. "Stevens was really fired up and he really got us fired up."
Stevens joined Thieman and Arnold in double figures with 10 points.
"I knew our firepower was pretty good tonight," Arnold said. "We knew we could run with them. We just wanted to keep playing hard."
Thieman finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Arnold had 26 points. The two combined for nine 3-pointers.
With the win, Fort Frye improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the PVC, while Frontier suffered its first loss after opening the season with eight wins. The Cougars are now 5-1 in the PVC.
Ben Huntsman and Justin Ross each hit for 15 points for the Cougars, which connected on 21 of 44 field goal attempts.

Re: Fort Frye beats Frontier
This was no surprise to me. When Fort Frye is "on" at home they are unstoppable.
